A beautiful colour palette of whites, cream & soft lemon

It was so special to be able to decorate my local church all this time working with flowers & I’ve never been asked until now.

Can’t wait to show you the Wedding tomorrow, nowI heading back over to Hintlesham Golf Club to clear down.

After a quick tidy up I’m not doing much else, well Mr T has organised a date evening, dinner & then the cinema to watch The Odyssey. It’s 3hrs long so a coffee may be needed to stay awake!!!

Wedding prep has started for this weekends wedding.

Trying to get organised & ahead of the game.

You may of noticed that I’ve been a bit quiet on socials this week and I’ve temporarily closed the website until Tuesday 11th August.

There is only so much flowering one girl can do!!!

I know you’ll also be disappointed that there aren’t any Friday flowers again, but I can assure you there will definitely be some next week.

Also brides I have changed the way I work a little, I now offer an initial hours Wedding consultation & I ask for a fee of £75 for this but as well as Wedding ideas you’ll also receive a garden inspired hand tied bouquet to take away with you.

I also no longer charge a hire fee for items that you borrow for your big day, I have lots of vases, bud vases and pedestals etc. I figured I have these items anyway and as I only commit to one wedding or event a weekend they can be used to enhance your day.

If you’d like to discuss your wedding I have limited availability for this year but still lots of space for 2027.

Yesterday’s flowers

it was a busy one as the monthly seasonal subscriptions left the flowers studio, as it was the last Friday of July.

How can it be the 1st August already!!!

Sorry there were no Friday flowers again as I had a few pre orders so the flowers all sold out before I had a chance to advertise them.

Loved this week’s colour palette of pale soft pinks, peach & apricot.

Emma & Sam’s Official Wedding album is here.

Emma Jepson & Sam Jepson got married on a beautiful sunny June day, I loved Emma’s energy from the initial bridal consultation and the fact her mum & nan were bridesmaids. Sam’s car was also amazing and loved the photos of the happy couple in it.

Flowers from yesterday.

I read a post from a flower farmer recently about growing & curating from what’s best in the field. It really resonated with me as the same is true from my cutting garden. I get to pick & select the best blooms ensuring freshness and each design is completely different and unique.

25 plus years ago when I worked in a shop I had to copy designs from a book and that just squashes all creativity.

Getting to work with nature and the seasons is a true gift and I find it truly inspiring.

Today in trying to have a day off but now heading into the garden to deadhead I’m desperately trying to keep my sweet peas going for a wedding next week!

Mind you as the saying goes if you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life.

So normally I really dislike photos of myself & yes I am definitely camera shy & not photogenic at all.

However when Helen Kirkman Photography has captured these images of me working I don’t mind them. I guess it’s because a professional photographer knows what they are doing & I definitely prefer natural photos as posed ones.

So out of my comfort zone I’m putting these images on my socials.

I’m just waiting for confirmation from the bride & will share more photos of their wedding day soon I hope.

Late post from me today.

I was on a mission to get my admin upto date & then plant the last bed of dahlias and Ta da they are finally all in the ground.

We do need some heavy rain though, the ground is so hard in the borders, I tried to transplant some plants from the raised beds & it was tough going digging.

They will need watering until they are established & yes I’m doing this with watering cans each evening.
