A little MADness from the past… 🤡🃏

Two wonderfully nostalgic early British editions of MAD Magazine — including No. 4 from 1960, one of the very earliest UK issues, alongside No. 20 from 1962.

Bold artwork, wonderfully irreverent humour and that unmistakable Alfred E. Neuman grin. They just don’t make magazines like this anymore.

✨ A beautiful Edwardian mahogany writing desk, c.1900 ✨

A wonderfully elegant piece with fine string inlay, five drawers, brass fittings, tapering legs and a fabulous three-sided gallery.

Beautifully made with traditional hand-cut dovetailed drawers and a rich, warm mahogany finish that has only improved with age.

A gorgeous statement piece for a study, library, bedroom or anywhere deserving of a little old-world character. 🤎

Greetings!

And secondly an apology for lack of our regular posts and updates!
We’ve had a super busy period all whilst trying to juggle family hospital admissions and after care, hosting large car show event, milestone birthday celebrations, travelling up north to charity fundraising walks, our annual 4 day summer break and desperately trying to keep the vulnerable cool in this sweltering heat! 🥵

However! , we’re back at it full pelt, we haven’t stopped the constant stock sourcing and adding to our treasure trove in the meantime, all for your perusal 👀

(Mary has also been rather busy washing her bloomers, slips and smalls 💁🏻‍♀️)

We’re keeping an eye on the predicted temperatures in this exceptional weather period to judge whether it is safe for us to be open. Keep an eye out for updates on this as I’d hate for anyone to be disappointed and have a wasted journey.
