So yeah, unfortunately the time has come.
We have made the decision to close the Canvas Cocktails business in the new year.
It’s sad, I can’t lie.
It’s been a huge part of our lives for the last couple of years. From being split across our cellar & loft, to graduating to a real office space with a sink and a work bench.
We’ve sold lots of cocktails in vacuum-sealed bags. Both through our website shipping to people across the UK and more recently face-to-face at local markets.
‘That’s such a cool idea’, we would hear a lot.
And that kept us going. We still think there’s a cool idea in there somewhere too. We still feel that cocktails at home can be better, and more like those you get at a good cocktail bar.
But realistically this business and this idea needs more. More investment, a bigger team and maybe a chance in an economic climate that isn't so grim. It turns out there’s a lot more to growing a brand and a business than a good idea.
Maybe we'll be back one day, bigger and better. Maybe.
So yeah, it’s sad. But saying that, we’re fu***ng proud of what we achieved over the last couple of years and that would be quite literally nothing without those of you who have supported us by buying cocktails, liking posts, telling your pals and signing up to our newsletter.
So thank you, we really do appreciate it.
