A fond farewell to a Locks Heath favourite 🍷

After more than 40 years in the wine trade, Del, owner of Alexander Hadleigh Wine Merchants, will be closing the doors for the final time this Saturday.

Del began her career in the wine industry in 1983 before opening Alexander Hadleigh Wines at Locks Heath Shopping Village in July 2000. Over the past 26 years, her expert knowledge, friendly advice and passion for great wine have made her a familiar and much-loved face within our community.

If you haven’t had the chance already, be sure to pop in over the next few days. There are still some fantastic bargains to be had, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to wish Del well as she embarks on her next chapter.

On behalf of everyone at Locks Heath, we’d like to thank Del for the dedication, expertise and outstanding service she has provided over the years. Her shop has been a valued part of our centre and community, and she will be greatly missed.

Please join us in wishing Del a long, happy and well-deserved retirement.

We’re looking forward to welcoming The Land Girls to our Marie Curie Fundraising Day, where they’ll be taking to the stage at 1pm.

With their wonderful vintage style, wartime favourites and uplifting harmonies, they’re sure to get everyone singing along! 💛

The Land Girls are just one part of a packed afternoon of entertainment, fundraising and community spirit, all in support of the incredible work of Marie Curie.
