In future going forward, any custom print item ordered that requires me to spend time drawing up any design, will HAVE to be paid for upfront PRIOR to me spending the time to design it. Images will also be sent with watermarks, here on in.
Really gutted to have to do this, as 99% of the time there isn’t any issues as people are usually amazing .. but I just cannot keep wasting time on custom orders, for to then be ignored when the payment is due. Too many times I have spent time creating designs for someone to agree to the designs, seem happy enough, to then not reply when I’m chasing payment.
1. Consider the fact that I do not charge for the designing element at all (Which many stationery / business stationery suppliers do)
2. I will amend the design until you are happy, and not only that most of the time I provide you with multiple options to chose from in the first place. That can then be amended further, Again something I don’t have to do but choose to without charging for.
3. If I have done multiple designs, and you can’t choose between them. You’re free to split the order and have more than one design, and still receive multibuy discount as though it was the one design.
4. Not only that, I have my own family and simply don’t have the time to be chasing payment. You don’t order from Asda and ask for it to be paid when they’ve done half the order. Why do it to a small business?
Considering the above, despite the designs being confirmed, and despite being initially chased up to send the designs to the customer. It’s just not on.. I appreciate we are in tough times, and am more than happy to wait for payment (I’m just not psychic)
I am not happy with being point blank ignored. And this is one time too many. So from now on this will unfortunately have to apply to every customer.
