Our company ethos....
Everyone can enjoy vinyl records without paying a premium and still receive good customer service. Take the risk out of buying used vinyl records and get value for money buying from us. Music makes

the world go round and vinyl in particular invokes smiles or sadness from emotional memories. Why else would I start a niche business in this age of austerity, pandemic and world issues other than for passion and love?! We compare prices with our competitors, both physical and online on a regular monthly basis. We are not always the cheapest, but we aim for excellent customer service. This is confirmed by positive customer feedback. We are accurate with our product descriptions and do not exaggerate the condition. All used records are checked and we play the vinyl, unlike others it seems, where only a visual inspection is normally carried out and picks out nothing really of use. Company background....
Formed online in 2011 and attending various record fairs in the West of the country, in 2018 Desirable Vinyl merged with “Recent & Rare Records”, originally established in the 1990s and owned by John Fisher. It was with huge sadness that John died in late January 2019 following severe breathing complications. John provided an injection of new life to Desirable Vinyl through his support, humorous view on life and the world and a general sense of fun. Jason - Owner of DV

Uber Update Part 1

How's it going my good people ?? Hope to see some of you down in Abingdon Friday and Saturday for two days of Prog at Prog For Peart. A few (well maybe more than a few ;-) ;-) ) beers, fellowship and most all, good laughs and not to mention some incredible music from the 14 bands on offer..........

So much to tell you I'm having to break it down into multiple parts, so please bear with...........

ANYHOO - Check out the poster below, next year sees the return of the "Launch Event" we tested out back in 2023, but this time it will be at The Civic !! We have been trying to get Amplifier on the lineup for absolutely AGES and when this opportunity came up, we just HAD to go for it, with more than ample support from the mighty GODSTICKS (who headlined at the very first FUSION !!) and Krankschaft, all for only £35.00, total bargain. We'll be really pushing this gig outside of the usual channels as the last time we saw Amplifier was at the now defunct Slade Rooms and they SOLD IT OUT !!! I have no doubt this may well go the same way as it's very rare to see these guys live. An evening of Space Rock and Prog Metal ensues, hope you can join us and on that note, have a fabulous evening and see you soon, Steve & Lou xx

For a change... What has sold this week, rather than what I have for sale. There is a call to arms from me here...

Despite how great this looks and thanks to all my customers for making this happen so I can keep bringing you joy in music form, business remains slow for us all and operating costs are not being met for many of us and taking a living wage is a dream.
The simple repeated message here to you all is support your independent shops and markets or lose us.
Businesses are dying all over the UK, from bakeries and grocers to guitar shops and record stores. To keep your favourites and maintain product choice, visit your town centres and don't look at what is now closed around you, see what is still open!
