We're really looking forward to catching up with everyone at Holly and Lewis's event in a couple of weeks. (3rd October at Boroughmuir Rugby club).

I understand there are some fantastic raffle prizes and Auction items, please don't feel you have to participate in either as it would be good just to see as many of you as can make it.

There'll still be plenty going on when the Friday performance trainees turn up a bit later.

There's been a lot of chat recently about Cut resistant garments so in an effort to help explain here's the official statement from the FIS regulations.

3.5.3.4 Implementation of cut resistant undergarment
The use of cut-resistant undergarment is strongly recommended for all disciplines events at all levels. The use of cut-resistant undergarment pants is mandatory for all events disciplines at category race level 0 and 1 from season 2025/2026 onwards. The mandatory implementation requires a minimum protection level of 3 stars according to the FIS-DITF test standard everywhere between the iliac crest and the onset of the ski boot. Further protective zones will be defined until spring 2025.

1.5.3 Cut resistant undergarment
Cutting force 1 star level N 100
Cutting force 2 star level N 200
Cutting force 3 star level N 300
Cutting force 4 star level N 400
Cutting force 5 star level N 500

For clarification:
(Level 0-1) = OWG/WSC/WC /WJC/COC
(Olympic Winter Games/World Ski Champs/World Champs/World Junior Champs/Continental Cup)
(Level 2-3-4) = FIS/YOG/NC/ ENL
(Youth Olympic Games/National Champs/Entry League)

iliac crest = Top of the hip

There are no regulations at present for the use of these garments for racing outside of these levels but it is recommended.
The regulations only refer to the Pants and not the tops.

The 3 star garments are very expensive but the 1 star units (in stock soon) can be purchased from £140 for the Juniors and from £160 for adults depending on the brand.

All club racers get 20% off the rrp for race gear in the shop

We’ll be offering edge & wax servicing Monday to Friday next week (w/b 5th Aug) during camp! Just drop your skis off as soon as training finishes and we will prep them for you for the following day.

🛠️ £15 per pair for edge & wax (price may vary depending on condition)
🕯️ £5 for wax only
🔪 £10 for edge only
💥 4 days of edge & wax for £50
