We have bad news and good news to share with you.
Bad news first. We made the very difficult decision yesterday to withdraw from lease negotiations on our hoped for new premises. We've experienced so many delays and set backs - we decided we can't wait any longer. So it's time for Plan B as we need to re-open asap.
The good news is we can now focus on finding an alternative home - and you can all help. So eyes peeled - it has to be central/southside Edinburgh and bigger than our last home! I've been working very hard on all the plans and preparations, the entire shop is sitting in storage - so when we do get our hands on keys, we can be open within a few weeks...

For the last couple of weeks at our Sunday Storytime we've been featuring the three wonderful picture books from Scottish Book Trust's Scottish Children's Book Award! This coming Sunday we'll have lots of fun for kids around 'Mouse's First Night At Moonlight School' - completely free at Looking Glass Books from 11am-12noon!

Please note that from the 4th, Sunday Storytime will be taking a fortnight's break for the October holidays. Hope to see you there!

Our Sunday Storytime drama workshop was back yesterday after its summer hiatus with the wonderful book 'The Five Misfits'. This coming Sunday (6th September) we have a slight change to our programme, featuring 'Two Giants' by Michael Foreman, a touching tale about friendship with beautiful illustrations.
