Renaissance at the StereoNET Hi-Fi & AV Expo, 12–13 September 2026

Join us at the Radisson RED Hotel London Heathrow for a weekend of great music, exceptional sound and a refreshing approach to hi-fi.

Our main system will feature the brand-new MOON 491 network player/preamplifier and 461 power amplifier, the fresh-from-Denmark Audiovector R 5 Arreté loudspeakers, an array of Nordost products, and a stunning new VPI turntable.

We'll also have products from across our premium audio portfolio on static display, alongside artwork by award-winning artist Kyle Blain, featuring his distinctive portraits of legendary musicians.

Rather than the usual hi-fi demo tracks, we'll have a different setlist each day, celebrating brilliant music and the joy of discovering and rediscovering great recordings.

Should I choose bookshelf or floorstanding loudspeakers?

It's one of the questions our MD, John Carroll, is asked most often.

His answer is always the same: it depends on your room, your system and how you like to listen.

Floorstanding loudspeakers have some obvious advantages. With larger cabinets and additional drive units, they are generally able to produce deeper, more authoritative bass, greater scale and a more effortless presentation.

That doesn't mean bookshelf loudspeakers are second best. In the right room, and partnered with suitable electronics, a good pair can deliver remarkable imaging, precision and musical involvement.

If you're looking for a superb bookshelf loudspeaker, the Audiovector R 1 is an outstanding choice. A compact high-end performer, it handles percussion and bass notes in a clean, nimble and natural way.
