Did you know Polwarth Church now has a Public Access Defibrillator attached to the outside of the building, on the side near the bus stop, opposite our garden. Wanted to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas from the Polwarth Nearly New Sale Team - such a shame that we have not been able to raise funds for the Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity this year but thought I would share this as a bit of festive cheer (for those of you that know us you will spot one of us in the video) and they happen to be raising money for the Sick Kids at the same time.

Merry Christmas and here's to a better 2021 and fingers crossed a resumption of our much loved sales.

As I am sure you will have guessed, sadly we will need to postpone this year's Nearly New Toy Sale. This year will be the first time in 18 years we have not held a sale at Polwarth! We are definitely going to miss seeing everyone.

All seller places will be held over until next year when we will hopefully be able to resume where we left off.

We had hoped to reach (and possibly overtake) our target of £30 000 raised for the Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity this year. As this will not be possible, if you felt you would like to donate to the charity this year in lieu of the sale, then here is their donation page link.

Polwarth Church have been tremendously generous to us over the years and is currently unable to generate any additional income through letting its halls. Hustings at Polwarth Church Tomorrow Tuesday 26
7 - 8:30pm. The candidates taking part are Callum Laidlaw (Scottish Conservative), Joanna Cherry (SNP), Ben Park (Scottish Green Party), Tom Inglis (Scottish Liberal Democrats), David Ballantine (Brexit Party) and Mev Brown (SDP).
Scottish Labour has yet to announce which one of their candidates will take part as Ian Murray, who represented Edinburgh South in the last UK Parliament, is unavailable.

Having been and stocked up on all your Christmas goodies for the Kids a week or so ago why not do some shopping for yourself. This is a lovely pre Christmas event that offers a wide range of local Crafts and even a bit of seasonal cheer. What more do you want for a Thursday evening. All in support of the local primary school.

We have the following message from a seller to the person who has bought a playmobil school.

“I sold a Playmobil School for £40 (my number was 68) my daughter had went thought all the pieces and found 2 very small pieces missing which I marked on the ticket. We have just found another piece which I think may be from the school structure. If anyone gets in touch please let me know and I will make sure the piece gets to them. “

We know for a fact that there are going to be amazing things to buy and amazing bargains to be had.

We received notification from Edinburgh Childrens Hospital Charity that over the years we have been running the sales we have given them just shy of £30k. That is amazing. Please help us get over that mark.
