Underground Solu’shn is one of the longest surviving Independent Specialist Record Shops in Edinburgh, selling quality vinyl and audio gear in Scotland’s capital since 1996. Starting in a dingy Old Town basement on Cockburn Street before relocating to over ground premises further down the same street, we began as an ‘Underground’ Record Shop selling House, Techno, Disco, Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Jazz

and Drum & Bass on the preferred medium which was, and to us still is, good old fashioned Vinyl LPs & Singles. To this very day we still support the format which kicked it all off stocking hundreds of new releases every week, though we also embrace any new Technology which makes the enjoyment of Music possible. So, you’ll find our shelves groaning with the latest DJ and Music Production Equipment including DJ & Hi-Fi Turntables, Mixers, Midi Controllers, Speakers and Headphones from all the top brands such as Pioneer, Reloop, Teenage Engineering, Audio Technica, Korg, Sennheiser, Ortofon & Pro-ject. There are stacks of wax to wade into, and countless Tapes & CDs to get your ears around. As if that wasn’t enough, we have a wide range of accessories including Cartridges & Stylus, Vinyl and Equipment Cases & Bags and T-Shirts, not to mention numerous Books and Magazines to feed your brain. Think of it as a one stop shop for total musical nourishment!

We're delighted to have been asked to contribute a mix to BBC Radio 6 Music's New Music Fix Daily to get you hyped for Record Store Day UK this coming Saturday, 18th April. It will be broadcast tomorrow, Thursday 16th April between 8.30-9pm and we will add a link to listen back in our bio in case you miss it!
