Marcus here, founder of We Love Prints.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I wanted to check in and let you know that WLP is very much still here and the website remains active.
You may (or may not) have noticed our absence on social media over the past year. That step back came from a mix of things, but mostly a need to pause. After many years of building WLP, and spending countless hours online, I reached a point of creative, emotional, and physical burnout, particularly after the post-pandemic years. During that time, I focused my energy on a separate dark art project (), while WLP continued quietly in the background.
Another factor, if I’m being candid, was the growing volume of unlicensed copies of our original work. My sister Natalie and I created the core WLP collections by hand, long before AI tools existed, alongside a small number of illustrators I collaborated with over the years. Seeing those designs repeatedly copied and resold, often identically, has been genuinely disheartening. Policing it at scale has proven extremely time-consuming, but I want to reassure long-time customers that authentic WLP prints have always been giclée printed on archival paper using lightfast inks. I’m currently exploring better ways to formalise provenance and authentication going forward.
More broadly, after a decade of sharing creative work online, I’ve become increasingly selective about how I engage with social media. The pressure for constant “content” doesn’t align with how I want to work, or with the idea of making art that’s intended to last. Trends come and go; the work remains.
So this is simply a note to say: we’re still here, still offering our original designs, and still doing things properly, even if a little more quietly.
I may post more here in 2026, but no promises.
