Starts Tuesday 18th August 10am - 12.30pm with Tess Glen

Class Details
Explore the world of interior painting through the use of water-soluble oil paints, developing your skills, creativity, and personal style.

This course is designed for those with some experience of painting who would like to explore a more focused and creative approach to developing their work. It is also suitable for those returning to painting after a break and looking to build confidence in a supportive and inspiring studio environment.

Throughout the course, you will explore the art of painting interiors using water-soluble oil paints, learning how to capture atmosphere, light, colour, texture, and perspective. Through demonstrations, exercises, and individual projects, you will develop your understanding of composition and painting techniques while creating your own unique responses to interior spaces.

Each term will introduce new themes, inspirations, and creative challenges, encouraging you to experiment with different approaches and develop your own artistic voice. You will explore how artists use colour, brushwork, and composition to bring interiors to life, while building confidence with water-soluble oils and discovering the versatility of this exciting medium.

The course will combine structured learning with independent project work, giving you the opportunity to develop your ideas and create paintings that are personal and meaningful. You’ll be encouraged to experiment, make creative decisions, and develop your own style within a friendly and supportive group.

Most importantly, you’ll enjoy coming each week to paint, explore, and share ideas with other like-minded artists in a nurturing creative space.

All materials and refreshments are included in the course fee.
