I’ve learned 3 things in this trip so far.

1. It was pointless packing heels..they were never happening.

2. It was pointless curling my hair; it doesn’t like the wind.

3. Despite my best efforts, my husband will never be a photographer. But he’s very cute so it’s ok.

New podcast episode: Wedding planning from insiders. 👰🏼 👰🏼

This week I’m flying solo to chat to the incredible about wedding planning. We both work in the industry, and we both got married in intimate weddings during this pandemic. So we have A LOT to chat about.

But what we discovered in talking was that there is a commonality that all women face in planning their weddings. We face opinions. We face being perceived as ‘bridezillas’ for having expectations. We face dealing with the rollercoaster of emotions that is a wedding. Wedding planning heightens all the things we face in every day life...and then we throw a pandemic in the midst of it.

I loved our conversation and can’t thank Emily-Rose enough for chatting so openly about her experience. The quote in this post seems very poignant after our chat, as it was something that influenced our decisions to go ahead with our weddings.

When we get messages saying, I don’t own my own business, I’m not a Boss Lady but I love your brand!
..Honey, YES YOU ARE! We all are, every single damn one of us are. We are all bossing our own lives, our own paths at our very own pace. Don't be fooled into thinking everyone has their sh*t together because 99% of the time they probably don't, but they are still out there bossing their way through life!

In all seriousness though, I think we can all relate to this. I know that over the years, as we have changed and grown as individuals, our relationship has changed and grown too. That’s not always easy, change never is, but it’s always worth it.
