There has been some false information shared about Retford Police Station. People in Retford deserve the facts.

Let me be clear. Retford Police Station is NOT at risk of closure.

I spoke this morning with Nottinghamshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Gary Godden. He confirmed to me once again that there is no threat to the future of the police station.

I have been working closely with the Police and Crime Commissioner and Bassetlaw District Council to get a new police station for Worksop, and this has now been agreed.

The next stage of my campaign is a custody suite for Bassetlaw. This will not, and must not, come at the expense of policing in Retford or elsewhere in Bassetlaw.

Our Elsecar Heritage Centre store is open and receiving guests till 4pm as usual - however I hear on the grapevine that Walnut Designs may be doing a late opener today !!!

With 22 small independent businesses all under 1 roof this is the best inspiration for gifting, treats and Father’s Day fillers.

Cologne, candles, art, babywear, jewellery, glass, flora, garden ornaments, books, soaps, dog treats, sublimation, pocket money treats and more - something for all.
