It’s brilliant to see how the Bags of Help grants can really benefit local groups. Thanks to the Dunblane Development Trust volunteers for coming along to show us how they’ve used their grant, and to hear how useful these new tools will be to them.

These are the current 3 projects bidding for the Bags of Help funding from the money raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco. Please ask your operator for a token to vote for your preferred good cause. You can see the voting unit beside the customer service desk.

The Tesco Bags of Help project for November has now opened with 3 new projects hoping to secure your support for funding from Tesco. The project with the most votes will get the maximum grant of £4000, the second place will get a maximum of £2000 and 3rd place will get up to £1000. Please ask your checkout operator for a token to cast your vote!

The Tesco bags of Help project is helping local community groups with funding for projects they want to complete by donating the money the store gets from the 5p carrier bag charges. Customers can vote for their choice of 3 groups to receive the grant, the group with the most votes can get up to £4000, the group with the second highest votes can get up to £2000 and the group with the fewest votes can get up to £1000. There are 4 weeks left of the current voting round for the 3 groups chosen. You can get a voting token from a colleague after every transaction and help the group you think would benefit most.
