We're looking for a Marketing Officer to help shape the voice of Dumfries Music Collective.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small, ambitious team and help champion young people, artists and live music across Dumfries & Galloway.

You'll be creating content, designing campaigns, managing our social media, growing our audiences and helping bring incredible projects to life.

Ideal for someone who:

- Loves music and culture
- Has experience in marketing or communications
- Enjoys creating engaging digital content
- Wants to make a real impact for young people

Based in Dumfries & Galloway
Flexible working
Work with artists, festivals, workshops and exciting creative projects throughout the year.

As an organisation representing artists and creatives from across Dumfries and Galloway aged 15 and over, we’re committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive and accessible creative community where everyone can thrive.

Signing the EDIA Action Framework reinforces our commitment to championing equality, celebrating diversity, improving accessibility, and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate, create and be heard.

We believe that a stronger, more vibrant creative sector is one where every voice matters, and we’re proud to be part of a collective effort to make Scotland’s music and creative industries more equitable for all.

We’re encouraging other organisations, creative groups and individuals to join us by signing the SMIA EDIA Action Framework. Together, we can help build a creative sector where everyone feels welcome, valued and empowered to succeed.

Last month, we won the 2026 Award at the annual Spring Gathering! 🥇💐

This is a special, peer-voted award that is granted to a local organisation to help support young people. A huge thank you to everyone who recognised and voted for all of our hard work - with this grant we are able to increase our reach even further. 🥹

So, with the money, we aim to establish a Music Instrument Workbench, following the success of our Instrument Library. The workbench will inspire young folk to explore creativity, sustainability, and practical skills through the up-cycling & creation of instruments. The workbench will provide tools, materials, and guidance for participants to repair, modify, and repurpose old or unused instruments.

This project was inspired by the volume of slightly broken instruments that we received on donation, that had decades worth of life left - if only someone had the tools and knowledge to mend them!

Shoutout to DMC alumni for collecting the cheque for us. 🙏

In February, we had .official travel down the road, for a one-of-a-kind performance at Stranraer Library. Ben created a buzz around the town as well as further afield, with people travelling from across the UK to see the star play! The singer song-writer also hosted a special, intimate writing workshop for young people who look up to his craft.

This was such a special day, we want to give a huge thank you to all that helped make it happen. Producing gigs in unconventional spaces will always be a part of DMCs foundation,… thank you to those who support the vision. 🎸❤️
