Hey everyone. I hope you're doing well. ❤️
I'm sorry I've been so quiet lately, especially since the passing of my eldest dog, Orion. It will be three weeks this Thursday since he left and crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
I've stepped back a little from work and social media to give myself some grace and space to process all these changes in my life. Orion has now returned to me in a different form, and his ashes are here with me. Words can't really describe how that feels. I miss him like hell, every single day. There is such an emptiness, and I'm slowly learning how to journey through it.
Taiga, my other dog, has been struggling too. She's not been eating very well, and I'm doing everything I can to support her, help her recover, and hopefully help her feel happier again. I think she's feeling the loss in her own way too.
I'm slowly coming back to work and beginning to catch up with everything. I also spent a week volunteering at the Medicine Festival with the Artist Hub, which was such a truly beautiful experience, although quite challenging while I was still carrying so much grief.
So, if you've been waiting for a commission drum or another order from me, I'm sorry it has been taking a little while. I'm trying my absolute best, and I'm slowly getting there. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.
And thank you to everyone who has sent messages, checked in, offered love, or simply given me space. It truly means more than I can put into words.
Living in Scotland, far away from my family in Lithuania, without family here with me, can make grief feel especially isolating. I live quite remotely too, so navigating something like this can be incredibly difficult.
But I'm taking it one day at a time.
Thank you for supporting me, my work, and my way of life. Your kindness helps more than you know.
Sending you all lots of love. ❤️
This is a little altar that I had an honour to build with amazing people at the festival ❤️❤️❤️
Blessings
Ilona
