Am I ridiculously happy to have stock of Darling Bud, the companion novel to the Sweetpea series by in stock?

YES, YES, I AM! 🎉🎉

Here's the blurb:
Murder can be a family business … Even wallflowers have to bloom. Sixteen-year-old Ivy is your average teenager. She’s annoyed by the scratchy labels on her school uniform, old men who wolf-whistle, and her mother the serial killer.

But is murder in her roots? Ivy was raised far away from the shadows of Rhiannon Lewis, the Sweetpea killer, but when the local predator – better known as Ivy’s football coach – is found dead, could it be that she has discovered a taste for blood? As suspicion grows deeper, Ivy’s only way out is to get some motherly advice. But when the internet’s unlikeliest vigilantes determine that Ivy must be punished for her mother’s crimes, she must decide whether to control the rage burning inside her. Or to unleash her thorns…

One of the most anticipated books of the year is here!

Land, by is a spellbinding story of separation, longing, recovery and survival as a family makes a new home in the aftermath of tragedy.

Here's the blurb:
On a windswept peninsula stretching out into the Atlantic, Tomás and his reluctant son, Liam, are working for the great Ordnance Survey project to map the whole of Ireland.

The year is 1865, and in a country not long since ravaged and emptied by the Great Hunger, the task is not an easy one. Tomás, however, is determined that his maps will be a record of the disaster. The British soldiers in charge are due to arrive any day, expecting the work to be completed, but Tomás is sent off course by an unsettling encounter in a copse.

His life, and those of his family, will never be the same again. Liam is terrified by the sudden change in his taciturn father. What was it that caused such cracks to open in Tomás and how is Liam, aged only ten, going to finish the mapping, and get them both home?Land is a story of buried treasure, overlapping lives, ancient woodland, persistent ghosts, a particularly loyal dog, and how, when it comes to both land and history, nothing ever goes away.

People have been asking if I can supply audiobooks. And, yes, I CAN!

Libro is a certified B Corp that supports independent bookshops, offering the following benefits.

A free audiobook when you take out a membership!

The books are YOURS. Once you've purchased an audiobook, you get the file, meaning you can listen whenever and wherever you like. On other platforms, you're essentially "renting" which means if they lose the rights to the book, or you cancel the app, access may be restricted. Libro has an app, but you don't have to use it to listen!

A great way to support an independent business

Interested? Use the code SWITCH when taking out a new membership to receive THREE audiobooks for the price of ONE!

If you've been into the shop recently, you may have noticed that the greeting card section hasn't been quite as full as usual!

After a lot of thought, I've decided to make some changes and create more space for what I do best – books, and a few other lovely things too.

From Tuesday 2nd, all remaining greeting cards will be reduced to clear at 3 for £1 while stocks last.

We're very lucky in Dromore to have several great shops selling cards, so I feel this is the right time for me to use that space differently. Don't worry, though, I'll still stock cards for key occasions such as Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day and other seasonal celebrations plus a small range of everyday cards.

If you've been meaning to stock up on cards, now's the perfect chance to grab a bargain. Thank you, as always, for supporting me and for coming along with me as the shop continues to evolve!
