Some highlights from Day 4 of our Free Summer Fun Afternoons, Driffield Up Up and Away.
The afternoon began at 1 pm on the Plaza with the first of three performances by magic mike. He was a big hit with the kids. Even the adults and passers-by enjoyed his puppets. From 1:00 to 3:00 PM, we also had arts and crafts at Cass Hall with Kirsty from The Creation Station East Yorkshire, Driffield. T
We also had amazing face painting by Jenni and Jen from Face Painting by Julie - Marie. The face painting is always popular with the kids.
It was a fun-filled afternoon, and the children really enjoyed themselves.
Thank you again to the Councillors and Diana, who volunteered their time and the Driffield ‘Tidy Team’ for setting everything up.
Don't forget that these FREE activities will continue every Friday afternoon throughout the school holidays!
The Up, Up and Away Trail can be completed throughout the holidays, and sheets can be collected from Kiplingcotes Furniture, The Little Book Emporium Driffield, The Gift Shop Driffield and Driffield Town Council

Jim Laird Memorial Day Great Driffield AFC - Saturday 22nd August

We are delighted to announce the Jim Laird Memorial Day on the 22nd August. It is open to anyone and is a chance to pay tribute to Jim.

The day has a full schedule of events that coincide with the Mens first home game of the new season

Pre match we will be holding the stand dedication and handing over cheques to two charities that will benefit from money raising events that have been undertaken by some of our coaches and players.

The 1sts will kick off against Hornsea Town AFC at 2pm.

Post match 4-7pm will be food and music to enjoy.

We invite everyone, supporters, friends and the local community to come along and join in with what should be a fantastic day.

Congratulations to Michelle and the Team at Bell Mills Garden Centre Cafe for winning the Discover Driffield Loyalty Card Business of the Month for July.
The menu has been revamped at the cafe, and the Burgesses Lemon Curd ice cream is delicious 😋. What a beautiful setting to have a spot of lunch.

Our Free Up, Up and Away Friday Afternoon activities continue this Friday.
The afternoon begins on the Plaza with Mad magic mike - three shows,
1 PM, 2 PM and 3 PM.
From 1:00 to 3:00 PM, arts and crafts at Cass Hall with Kirsty from The Creation Station East Yorkshire, Driffield.
2:00 to 4:00 PM, Face painting with Face Painting by Face Painting by Julie - Marie at the Station Gardens (Face painting is limited to 60 total per session, so get down early)
Don't forget our FREE trail runs throughout the summer holidays. Forms can be collected from Kiplingcotes Furniture, The Gift Shop Driffield, The Little Book Emporium Driffield and Driffield Town Council
We know how much the kids enjoy these FREE events and hope we see some familiar and new faces there every Friday afternoon throughout the summer. 🌞

It's going to be a hot one this Thursday, so some of our traders will be taking a break due to the heat, as it isn't good for their produce.
Due to the hot weather there will be no fish, cheese, olives, sweets, pies, cakes and fruit and vegetables.
