19th September 11am
Story-time ‘draw along’ event with the wonderful Marijo Illustrajo for her beautiful book ‘The Unexpected Guests’. £8 including a copy of the book. Children’s interactive event.

24th September 6.30pm
Dr Charles Moseley - ‘Hunting for Hereward: Myth, Mayhem & Man’ History Free event

8th October 6.30pm
Rory Clements - ‘Invitation from a Dictator’ Historical fiction, free event.

3rd November 6.30pm Charlie Bingham ‘The Ornithologist’s Library’ Natural History, free event.

So this weekend we are officially 2 years old!! 🥳🥳Sarah and I have been blown away by all of your lovely birthday wishes- you are the best bunch of customers, we are so grateful 🙏

Don’t forget as a way of saying a huge ‘thank you’ to you all we are giving 10% off books & cards this weekend Friday 31st & Saturday 1st August. We will also have activities for children, competitions and a little sale of old stock.

Two dates for your diaries!
Sunday 26th July we are open 10-3pm for the Mabel’s Makers Market.
Friday 31st July/Saturday 1st August is our birthday weekend with 10% off all books & cards.

Two years ago Sarah and I were madly dashing about trying to decorate and fill this little shop to give Downham Market a new bookshop.

Now we are overjoyed to be finding ourselves celebrating our 2nd birthday!! A huge thank you to our family, friends and of course our wonderful customers for supporting us along the way- here’s to many more years of us bringing you lots of great books.

To celebrate our birthday on Friday 31st July and Saturday 1st August we will be giving away 10% off all books & cards.

We will also have some activities in store for children as well as competitions and a little sale of old stock.
