A very special birthday cake for a record-breaking celebration! 🎉🎂

Created to celebrate an incredible achievement – the longest single game of tennis, with an amazing 37 deuces! 🎾👏 What a story to mark on a birthday!

The main cake was a gluten-free coffee & walnut, designed to look like a classic record book and personalised for the occasion. Alongside it, a chocolate cake shaped as a golf bag for that extra personal touch ⛳

Loved bringing this unique birthday and achievement together in one design – huge congratulations again! 🏆

🎂✨ Something special to see at Putty Cakes this week ✨🎨

We’ve brought back some incredible exhibits from Cake International at the NEC Birmingham, now proudly displayed in our shop window for everyone to enjoy! 💕

The creativity and attention to detail in these cakes are absolutely amazing, and while photos give you a glimpse, there’s nothing quite like seeing them up close and in the flesh. 👀🍰

As we approach Remembrance Sunday, we’re also honoured to be showcasing a beautiful collection of historic military prints by Surrey artist Paul Christien. 🖋️ His intricate pen and ink artwork captures military scenes, both real and imagined, with remarkable precision and depth.

The prints are available to purchase, and each features a handy QR code linking directly to the artist’s website for anyone who would like to learn more.

Remembrance Sunday is always a time to pause, reflect, and appreciate the courage and sacrifice of so many, and this collection feels like a fitting tribute. 🌺

We’ll be open this Sunday from 9:30 AM to 4 PM, so do stop by Putty Cakes Coffee Shop, enjoy a coffee (and maybe a slice of Gavin’s award-winning cake ☕🍰), and take a few moments to soak in the artistry on display, both in sugar and in ink. 💫

🎂✨ We did it! ✨🎂

I am absolutely thrilled to share that The Three Cakeatiers (that’s our team!) have just won the first round of the Live Cake Off on stage at Cake International! 🎉🎉

In just 45 minutes, we created a Halloween-themed cake, and the audience were the judges, by cheer volume! 👏
Let’s just say… the crowd went wild for ours! 🧁💀🧙‍♀️

The event was hosted by the amazing Oli The Choc, and we’re now heading into the final on Sunday, where we’ll have 45 minutes to make a 3-tiered Christmas-themed cake! Live on stage again! 🎅🎄

We’re so excited and grateful for all the support, please wish us luck for the grand final! 🤞💕

🎂 We’re off to Cake International! 🎉
The Putty Cakes team is heading to Cake International!
The world’s biggest cake show, where we’ll be competing and taking part in the live Cake Off on stage! 🍰✨
It’s an amazing opportunity to showcase our skills, connect with other talented bakers, and bring some fresh inspiration back to Dorking!
Because of this, the coffee shop will be closed from Thursday afternoon and will reopen on Monday.
We can’t wait to share all the excitement (and maybe a few medals 🤞) with you when we’re back!
