Families In Need Dorset Jumble sales , online auctions, you name it , we try it! All proceeds from events go to local charities .

We also try and help families in crisis by gathering clothing and urgently needed donations and signposting and ensuring their needs are met.

I have fabulous news all!!

Still ironing out the details but thanks to the lovely Monty - booking secretary , we should be holding an indoor jumble sale on Saturday 26th November at St Mary’s Church House Hall, south street Bridport; 10am - 4pm 🙂
come along , bring the kids, buy some stuff (yes we will have coffee and cupcakes - hopefully! ) and help us raise some funds 🙂
Any volunteers that can help will be much appreciated !

Help/contacts needed ! Hi all, I have an abundance of random donations and odds and sods that I’m now struggling to store and we desperately need some funds ready for people in crisis.
I’m thinking indoor jumble sale (bit cold and wet for outdoors)!!
I need a venue preferably central ish Bridport or Dorchester , somewhere accessible for lots of footfall but with parking - something like a village hall or parish centre .
Lots of space for an afternoon to set everything up , maybe we could even have a few traders there too who could donate pennies for a space to sell . Ideally a Saturday or Sunday in a couple of weeks time🙂 If any of my lovely followers are in charge of a village hall or know someone who is , please get in touch!!

Just a huge big thank you to every who helped make today happen! The lovely chap in question is all moved in to his new place and settled and was quite frankly over the moon with all the bits that have been donated . By the time I left it was very cozy ! Thank you all for your support x

Hi all, I’m trying to find a temporary bed solution for an older gentleman moving into temporary accommodation who has no bed and will be on the floor - I’m looking for a good condition fold up single bed (not the camping beds for tents I think they will hurt his back 😞) it needs to easily fit into a car - does anyone know of one going for a very low price or would be willing to donate one for free ? Needs to be sturdy and a newish comfortable mattress . I’ll put an example of one in the comments . (I’ve found a nice one on Facebook but it’s £45 and I’ve borrowed the pic!) Thanks in advance for everyone x

Hi all amazing supporters, long time no speak.
I have the most kind hearted older gentleman who I’m currently helping, he has minimal belongings and likes to transport his paperwork in his current rucksack (full of holes 😞) but when it rains it all gets ruined. I would love to buy him a shiny new ruck sack he can use in all weathers but the funding pot is empty . Has any one got anything suitable or be willing to help fund one?
For the lovely People who are offering to help, if you want to help towards this or other local causes please donate to the PayPal details showing on the top of this page . I’m seeing so many people struggling so much recently, every little bit genuinely helps . You’d be amazed how happy these small gestures make people and I do try and buy as much as I can! We aren’t some big charity paying overheads and staff , just me on my spare time and a few volunteers randomly so I can assure you every penny goes to those who need help x thanks all!
