We hope everyone's week has been going swimmingly. We have been getting ourselves ready for this weekends markets.
Heres where you can find us:

-The Taste of East Anglia, Kentwell Hall, Sudbury, sat 13th, 10am-5pm.

- Bury St Edmunds Farmers Market, The Traverse, Sun 14th, 10am-3pm.

The setting was beautiful, the range of stall holders great, the music under the pulled canvas absolutely on point, the weather...well let's face it, we've definitely had better 🤣 I mean its actually laughable looking out the window at today's weather & seeing nothing but blue sky! Two weeks ago it was too hot, yesterday was too windy & rainy, we're like Goldilocks of the market world, we want it juuuuust right!

The morning was a little hairy with some gazebos, tables & displays going "arse over tit," but the comradery of all the stall holders & the organisers couldn't be faulted, so many willing people jumping into action to help each other out.

Our biggest advice to anyone who's looking to take on markets on a regular basis (if you can afford to) invest in a decent, sturdy gazebo & weights. Theres nothing more stressful & saddening than watching a person's display get pummeled by the weather, especially knowing how much work goes in to preparing for a day like this.

There was a window in the afternoon when we had a snippet of sun, the wind died down & we managed to get a little flurry of sales, which we are so grateful for 🙏 Thank you to everyone who came out for the day to support & chit chat to ourselves & all the other small businesses. Also huge thank you to Claudia, her team & Kimberley Hall for hosting the event, we hope you get some serious downtime to recover.

We'll look forward to returning again next 😉.

Raspberry & rose pate de fruit, rose ganache, pistachio gianduja, white chocolate shell.

Overly floral flavours aren't usually our thing. However, when you you pair rose alongside the tart vibrancy of raspberry & the earthy nuttiness of pistachio...wow...well thats totally different ball game! Together they create something rather sophisticated & utterly moreish.

Thank you for all your messages of support last week, we are so lucky to have such a kind & caring community. All is ok, just the ebbs & flows of life that we all have to go through, as challenging as they maybe be at times 🥰

We'll be Wyken Vineyards Farmers Market, Stanton, this Saturday 30th, 9am-1pm


We also have a shipment arriving (hopefully next week) of ice packs & insulation pouches for postal orders. Obviously if temperatures reach ridiculous levels, we'll make the decision to hold off dispatching the order until its more suitable. If you need an order by a specific date, there is a message box in the cart section where you can write this information & we'll do our best to accommodate the request.

Sad times....

Hi all,

Sorry we've been MIA recently. We've been working relentlessly for the last few weeks in preparation for Blenheim Palace Food & Drink Fair this weekend...

Unfortunately while juggling the preparations, we've been dealing with a personal matter...don't worry we're fine, but we just needed some space to deal & go through the emotions. This along with the blazing heatwave that we are now facing, it was with a heavy heart we made the decision to cancel our pitch at Blenheim Palace. We're so sorry to let down the organisers & those who may have been looking forward to seeing us there, we are not ones for cancelling markets (its our lively hood at the end of the day) unless absolutely necessary.

We're absolutely gutted & while we have some measures to keep the chocolates cool, our chocolate shells are thin, they have soft fillings & are simply not not invincible to this heat. We would be 3 hours away with no safety net of being able to rush home after each day to get the chocolates back in our fridges.

Even if we managed to keep the chocolates cool, our customers would be out for the day & we'd hate for them to get home to a box of melted mess (although we're sure will still be delicious).

If the event was a week earlier or literally any weekend in the last 5 months, we'd be laughing...but its a clear case of sods law & the stark reality of some battles chocolatiers have to face.

Not wanting to leave this on a doom & gloom, we still have the hotel booked, so we might as well utilise this & enjoy a few days away in the sun like most of the country.
