Bet you didn't see this coming?! Yes. After 7 crazy years of building my small business from nothing, it's time for me to say goodbye.
I love this shop so much and it was the hardest decision I've ever had to make. There are a lot of factors which led to this decision, but ultimately, my life is very different now to what it was 7 years ago and something had to give. I wish it didn't have to be the shop but I have to do what's right for me.
It was sad to think of 7 years of hard work all ending as nothing, so when I offered Abbie the opportunity to take it on and she went for it, I was so chuffed. 🤩
The shop is still going strong, and I know Abbie has the creativity and passion to move it forward and keep it growing. Something I just don't have the capacity for right now.
Abbie has worked with me for a few years now, so she already has the basics down and I will be here to support her every step of the way. Whether that's a week in, or years into her journey.
✨️ We are finalising a handover date which will likely be at the end of June/early July. But we'll update you with that when we have the info.
✨️ Abbie is keeping our lovely Traders and most of our stock, so there's no mahoosive closing down sale, but we are clearing some stock that we had decided to let go of anyway so there's a fair whack now at bargain prices. Think of it as more of a summer clear out than a 'closing down sale'
✨️ If you've just applied to sell with us, please don't worry, that's all going ahead as planned, it's just not me making the final decisions this time!
✨️ Obviously I've got more tricks up my sleeve. I wasn't just going to leave the creative community behind, so I'm keeping my business name and Instagram account. Go and follow the new shop account so you're following along when the big change happens 👉.shop
I'm not going to do a big old soppy goodbye post, because it's not the end. This decision is 100% the right one, but I'm still going through a whole grieving process and it's been emotional. My shop will always be my first baby 💛
I'm sure there are going to be lots of questions so I'll pop an ask me anything on stories.
