Unfortunately bookclubs are cancelled for the foreseeable. When we don’t have them we have lots of people asking for them but when we organise them we have very little uptake. I hope maybe in the future they will be more popular but for now we cannot justify putting them on ❤️

After a slow start last year, we’re giving our book clubs another go — and this time we’re feeling very hopeful. We’ve had lots of enquiries, so it seems many of you are just as excited as we are 📚

If you love reading and fancy chatting about books (and a bit of everything else) in a relaxed, informal setting, this is for you. It’s all about good books, good company, and growing our little bookish community — while supporting a local business at the same time ☺️

Got books at home that need a new chapter? We’re excited to share that The Cosy Book Den is now taking pre-loved book donations 💛

If your books are in good condition, we’ll happily find them a new home to be enjoyed again. If they’re not quite suitable, don’t worry — we’ll make sure they’re donated to a local charity instead 📖🤍

It’s a wonderful way to declutter, support sustainability, and help books continue their journey.

Did you know we offer ‘Blind Date with a Book’ at The Cosy Book Den?

The idea is you choose the book ‘blind’ based on a few snippets of information - in this case genre, Goodreads score and the first line.

In the run up to Christmas we are offering the chance for you to pick a book (for a friend, family member or fellow book lover) and we shall wrap it up and present it like a ‘blind date book’. That way you can ensure your gift receiver gets a book they want with the fun of them receiving it as a ‘blind date with a book’.

Send us a message or pop into shop to order your chosen book and we shall ensure it’s ready for you to collect in time to gift it at Christmas 🎅
