Why we use Unidirectional carbon fibre (UD carbon) 👇

All fibres run in one direction, giving maximum strength exactly where it matters — along the length of the pole. That means your pole keeps its natural bend and action, instead of turning stiff or “dead” like it can with woven carbon repairs.

You can clearly see where previous repairs have failed just above the repair area — a common issue when the wrong materials are used.
Then compare that to my repair — clean, smooth, and built to flex as it should.

Two products I highly recommend are dry film PTFE and bungs. Before I get hundreds of messages asking, I don’t sell either of these products. However, both can really help when it comes to maintaining your pole. Dry film PTFE helps keep sections running smoothly and reduces wear and stops sections sticking together, while bungs protect the sections and help prevent damage. Used together, they’re simple but effective ways to help look after your pole and keep it performing

I received a lot of messages yesterday asking about full pole refurbishments. If the female joints on your pole have become this soft, it’s usually a sign that it’s time for a refurb. Once a pole has been properly refurbished, it can last for many more years, meaning there’s no need to rush out and buy a brand new pole. A good refurb can bring your pole back to life and keep it performing as it should. 🎣
