So, this is it my lovely HP'rs the final post...I've purposely waited as today is the first day. I have no H P responsibilities, the rent and the final electricity bill have been paid and the keys have been handed over to the next occupant of 2 Normanton Lane. (CLS Travel, in case you were wondering). I've been asked on several occasions, if I feel sad at leaving HP behind, after all it was born out of my thoughts and ideas. Its kept me occupied for nearly 14 years and it, without question, made me get out of bed when my husband Stephen, died unexpectedly over 9 years ago, however it's you lovely lot that I'm going to miss, from the 'I've forgotten a Birthday', 'so and so is leaving, 'have you got anything for someone who's got everything', 'what candles have you got?', 'I've not come to see you, I've come to see shop security' to hearing the giggles as you went around the shop, reading the funny signs such as .....'I tried to be normal once, it was the worst 2 minutes of my life' or 'I'd like to help you out, which way did you come in' and finally your unwavering support when the legendary Christmas open night was on. You gave me and HP a chance, we've certainly had some fun, some giggles and I am more the richer for having you as friends, however it's time to take a step change and do something different, I'd really like to say more relaxing, but since I've chosen to train to become driving instructor, maybe not!!
Thank you from me and Shop Security, for being loyal, kind and above making the last 14 years an absolute hoot!! We will miss you ###

Good Morning, good morning. 1,3,5,50 and so the final countdown begins...and before you all shout, "no wonder you're closing, you can't even get your countdown clock right" Those numbers my lovely HP'rs are what the remaining stock is priced at, so whatever is now left in HP until Saturday afternoon, will be priced at 50p, £1, £3, or £5. I need/want it gone. Come and grab yourself an absolute bargain. I'm working in Mrs C's Tea Cosy today, until 2.00pm, then switching to HP, however, I do have special dispensation from Shelley to nip out for anyone who wants to have a browse before then. You have 48hrs left before I lock the door, and HP will be no more. xx

Good Afternoon my lovelies, Phewee!! its a hot one .... Unfortunately I have some bad news on the Frenchic front, like most manufacturers at the moment they have increased their prices. The good news it's only by one whole pound, so 750ml tins are now £22.95 up from £21.95, 250ml tins are now £11.95 from £10.95 and so on throughout the range. Don't forget I will be closing on Saturday 28th June, so that will be your last opportunity to grab a tin before I permanently close, so don't miss out. With reference to supplying your Frenchic paint Sarah will continue to order your paint and deliver it, (if you ask nicely) . Afternoon lovelies in the words or almost words of Alice Cooper, Schools nearly out for Summer.....I have a couple of Teacher based gifts in HP, they are at cost price when the 50% discount is taken, and best of all, these gifts will last longer than the 'go to' gift of a bar of chocolate or box of chocolates. There's still a good selection wax melts, that didnt make it on the video.
