Everyday Oracle is now 20% off to celebrate its second printing! I didn’t think I’d even sell all of its first run, let alone so quickly, so a huge thanks to all the support I’ve had so far 🙏🏻 The second print run comes with the following improvements:

🎴 Thicker Card Stock. The cards are now 400gsm Calder Satin which are thicker but still easily shuffled and should help to reduce any peeling at the edges.

🖼️ Artwork tweaks. Mostly small changes to perfect some of the cards but some are brand new to better reflect my interpretation of their meaning.

📕 Guidebook Edits. Again, these were small changes but rereading the guidebook made me realise some of my interpretations for the cards overlapped slightly too much. I’ve tweaked my interpretations for some cards to give each card a more unique and powerful meaning.

There are enough people lying to you in the world already.

This card represents the common tendency to hide our true emotions, fears or vulnerabilities behind a facade of strength and composure. It serves as a reminder that, while it’s essential to maintain resilience, it’s equally crucial to acknowledge and address our inner struggles. Be honest with yourself and those around you about your feelings and challenges. There are enough people in the world lying to you already. You don’t need to lie to yourself too. Admitting your pain and seeking support can be the first step towards healing and personal growth. Are you really fine? It’s okay if you’re not, but the first step is admitting it. You might just need an extra bit of help. Or you might need to take a longer, deeper look into why you’re struggling and what you can do to fix it.

This card should also encourages you to check in on friends or family. They might be struggling in secret, even if they seem like they’ve got everything together. Just asking them how they’re really doing could encourage them to open up, allowing you to help or just be there for them however you can.

When the universe says you need to chill 😅

The Nap symbolises giving yourself a much-needed break, whether it’s from overworking, a troublesome relationship or the general stresses of life. Obviously, that’s easier said than done sometimes, but this card urges you to take some time - even if it’s just a minute - to breathe, to have a moment to yourself, to recharge. The Long Bath, meanwhile, symbolises cleansing, washing away negative energy and emotions, gaining a sense of freshness and clarity. Together, they suggest you’re in serious need of time out from life in order to rest and recover. Of course it can be hard, but even just taking a few minutes might make all the difference to your energy, mood and happiness. Ultimately, this is a reading telling you to look after yourself, to give yourself a break.

A snake that sheds its skin is still the same snake.

The Snake represents a breach of trust or betrayal in your life. It might be someone close to you acting dishonestly, or you may be grappling with feeling of disloyalty within yourself. Take the opportunity to consider who you can really trust. It could be a chance for forgiveness, but sometimes broken trust can be irreplaceable. A shake that sheds its skin is still the same snake. If you’re dealing with your own dishonesty, you need to come clean and deal with the repercussions you’ve been dreading. Remember that while betrayal can be deeply painful, it also presents an opportunity for personal growth, self-discovery and the strengthening of your own inner boundaries. You have the strength to overcome it and emerge wiser and more resilient, but try to take it as an opportunity to appreciate the people in your life you know you can truly trust.

This card is a sign something you’ve been worrying about or dreading for a while might not be as bad as you fear. It might not even happen at all. Just like the joy and relief you feel when that thing you only half-committed to gets cancelled last minute and you have to pretend you’re gutted before rushing back into bed to finish that book in peace, this card is a reminder that the universe sometimes has a way of intervening, of helping you out when you can’t come up with a good excuse fast enough. This card should also be a reminder to be protective of your time. It’s the most important thing you own, after all. Don’t be scared to say no to something in the first place. People who truly care about you will respect your time and space. Maybe think about why you were dreading something so much in the first place. Are there changes you need to make in your life to stop yourself feeling like that again? Stand up for yourself if you have to. Don’t be afraid to say no. You can’t please everyone. Especially if it’s to the detriment of your health or happiness.

There was the absolute slightest hint of sun today (even though it’s still freezing), so of course I had to run out to grab an iced coffee. I don’t think I’d have finished creating Everyday Oracle without it, so for me this card represents a surge of energy and motivation. A time to take action, start new projects or tackle challenges with the kind of enthusiasm only caffeine can inspire. Just as the first sip of a morning coffee turns you from zombie to… slightly less zombie, this card suggests a period of newfound energy and awakening. Use this energy to do those things you’ve always wanted to do but never managed. This card should be a reminder that you are capable of achieving the success you desire. Even if it does require focus, drive and seven expensive iced coffees a day just to feel vaguely alive.

Inspired by receiving a tarot reading I can only describe as A Bag Of Dicks, the cards are inspired by moments and images taken from the everyday - from the joy of Unwanted Plans getting cancelled to the fear of being Ghosted.
