At Jones Stones, we can give those treasured finds a new purpose. Through our bespoke service, your own stones can be handcrafted into beautiful jewellery or transformed into a unique picture for your home, preserving the memories behind them. Both of these images have used rocks picked up on holiday, the ring from an Icelandic beach pebble, and the picture from sea glass at Seaham.

Possibly the teeniest, tiniest stone I've hand-cut to date! ✨

No CNC, no calibration machines—just patience, steady hands, and a lot of squinting. It might even rival the tiny Whitby jet heart I made a while back.

I only dropped it once, and somehow managed to find it again on the workshop floor. Definitely taking that as a sign it's a good day! 🤣

Ever heard of Whitby Jet?

Whitby Jet is formed from ancient fossilised wood over 180 million years ago. -typically mistaken for stone. Found along the coastline of Whitby, it’s known for its deep black colour, smooth finish, and surprisingly lightweight feel.

We take this natural material and bring it into the present — creating modern, wearable jewellery that still carries its incredible history.

Next stop: Bonsall Arts Trail!

We've been busy in the workshop creating new jewellery pieces and will be showcasing a beautiful collection of Blue John, Whitby Jet and Opal jewellery. As always, we'll also have a selection of unique new designs that we can't wait to share with you.

With over 80 talented Derbyshire artists and makers exhibiting throughout the village, there's sure to be something to inspire everyone. We'd love to see you there!

Have you ever wondered how our original jewellery designs begin?
Every piece starts with a simple sketch, which is then carefully developed into a design ready to be handcrafted into jewellery. This amber ring was first created as a personal piece for our daughter, but after so much love for the design, it is now available at Peak Village. This is the perfect ring to start your way into summer 🌞

What an incredible weekend! ✨

A huge thank you to .arttrail for organising such a fantastic event. We loved meeting so many wonderful people, sharing our work, and hearing your lovely comments.

We're also so grateful for all the support shown to us throughout the weekend. To have sold so many pieces of jewellery and received such positive feedback has been truly overwhelming.

A special thank you to St Oswald C of E School for hosting us, and to all the talented artists who made the event such a great experience.
