Our Story
Hi, my name is Helen, my creative background has evolved by my family members and friends form a very young age, surrounded by clay, paint, fabrics and inspiration from wonderful books to enrich my imagination. I have lived in the same little Cornish village my whole life, situated between beaches, rugged coastline, woodlands, moorlands and the endless beauty of north Cornwall. My love for clay began early on when entering the local village show and realised that other people enjoyed and were inspired by my creations, often commenting and encouraging me to make more. Moving forward over the years, getting married, starting a family. Over a period of 25 years, I have taught myself the art of sculpting and hand building using earthenware clay and lately also using polymer clay. Being asked to arrange and teach many hand building workshops is certainly a highlight. I have always been encouraged by the great outdoors and I have a passion for gardening handed down from my mum. My daily routine consists of caring for my family, pets and running of our families small holding. The clay bench is my haven for focusing my creativity and allows me to thrive my passion for clay.
