Late night rewarded me with a bar of silver. Unfortunately lost a big fish. My guess was a conger as whatever it was bit one of my 6/0 hooks clean off my 58lb snood. But still got the adrenaline going.

Not been out for a good week or 2 and the weather provided a perfect opportunity to get out for some fishing! Despite only having a few hours sleep after staying up to watch the fury v wilder fight, I decided to have a good half day fishing down samphire hoe with a few buddies of mine. Was well worth heading out. Couple of bass and a nice thronback Ray. Hopefully the weather holds out for next weekend.

Fished samphire hoe today with Jake. Thought we would be brave and just face the horrible weather hoping for a bass. Unfortunately wasn't able to hook one. But did manage two strap congers. Not quite yet managed that double figure eel! But I'm determined to have one by the end of the year.
