Amazing night last night for the Darlington Assistance for Refugees fundraising quiz night. Very proud to be a fully fledged member and getting involved in things that are making a difference in the here and now 💙 We raised around £2.5k in ticket sales and donations, half of this will be donated to the relief effort in Ukraine via the Red Cross - our mayor, Cyndi Hughes, is a great sport and I was really proud to be part of such a good event! Here’s to many more 💙💛

I recently became a member of Darlington Assistance for Refugees (DAR), a fantastic charity who do amazing work alongside refugees and asylum seekers rebuilding their lives in our community. We are hosting a quiz night at the arena on Saturday 19th March - 50% of the funds raised will be donated by DAR to the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal 🇺🇦 💙 - all are welcome to attend and pie and peas will be provided as part of the evening. See the poster to grab a ticket and show your support. Would love to see you all down there for what is sure to be a really memorable evening 💙

Let’s talk about little touches... I like to enclose a little something with every order, it’s most likely a tea bag (well, duh!) but I have been known to be enclose an extra treat or two when the mood takes me (for instance if yours is a landmark sale for me, or a nice round number on my Etsy figures👌🏻)

I also like to make things look nice without going OTT on loads of packaging. I use bags/boxes that can be recycled if you remove stickers and I get my stickers for my paper bags/tissue from 💛 she’s so reliable and reasonably priced, with quick delivery!

If you have a small business, why not pay it forward by using other small business wherever possible to source your materials. It’s these little touches that you don’t get (often) from bigger businesses 😊

Can you believe I tried selling these within and didn’t sell one.. but you have to try different places to see where things sell best! They are definitely more popular with the online customer 😅 … also how is it only Tuesday?!
