Introducing the new Entomological Technologies travel pendant.

The 4 light travel pendant was specifically designed for travel in mind. It consists of x4 of our highly rated custom LED lights mounted in a frame with es27 lampholders for each single light. A slide over case protects the lights during transport. We also find that pairs of socks can be used for additional cushioning during transit.

Each led light is 6 watts and a combination of our most successful combination of wavelengths during testing.

The lights can be simply plugged into powerpacks and our converters convert the 5 volts to 12 DC for operation.

A convenient slide over carry case is also supplied.

The pendant light frame can be hung or tripod mounted for ease of use.

A single led 6 watt light lasts between 19-20 hours using our 50000mah powerpacks.

These are made to order and supplied with x4 6 watt LED lights x4 converters and x2 50000mah powerpacks.

Double Actinic Unit 22 watt rings for Entomological Technologies large funnels.

Double ring actinic system, each ring 22 watt mounted on one of our Atropos'Goliath' funnels. We've been working on developing a housing to accept two of these adapters with built in ballasts. Mains operated. The bottom ring is powered by the es27 lampholder of the moth trap.

A seperate power lead from the housing is plugged in powers the top unit and tube.

Impossible to waterproof 100% however as the vents allow heat to escape from the internal built in ballasts.and would have to be used with a rainguard at all times.

Part of the working in making our Atropos 'Goliath' moth trap truly universal and enabling an easy switch option for the user. Choose between funnels fitted with Mercury Vapour, actinic or Pendant 12 volt LED lighting system.

An RCD circuit breaker will be supplied as standard with this product and we recommend use at all times.

This unit can also be connected to a lampholder fixed underneath a rainguard to operate above an open funnel without vanes. This is a funnel setup used by many homebuilders.

WE RECOMMEND AN APPROVED RCD CIRCUIT BREAKER IS USED WITH ALL OUR OUTDOOR MOTH TRAP PRODUCTS FOR SAFETY.

HOW MUCH ELECTRICITY AM I ACTUALLY USING TO RUN MY MOTHTRAP?

Food for thought when calculating your running costs for mercury vapour moth traps!

Common assumption I've heard many times is a 125 watt mercury mothtrap consumes 125 watts as that what the rating of the bulb is!

But that's not taking into account how much your ballast is using to operate that 125 watt mercury vapour bulb.

The picture below shows a meter plugged in and as you can see the wattage is considerably higher than 125 watts.

Also the ballast experiences power loss which is given off as heat.

So if your adding up your running costs the trap is actually using nearly 170 watts.
