Yay! We are at the Meadows Festival, Edinburgh 11 til 5 today.
Fab, busy day yesterday. Lots of colour and cheer despite the drab weather. My furry assistants are great with the chat but rubbish with the card machine, so I was too busy to take photos. (Just of them sitting around looking cute.) So I borrowed a few. There’s music, street food, stalls galore and today’s entertainment includes a dog show. I’m on the North Meadows Walk with lots of gorgeous soap, candles, bath bombs and pottery. 🙂

It’s the start of June! And that means … the Meadows Festival in Edinburgh is this weekend!!!
Come and enjoy the free music and shows, and the many wonderful and varied stalls. Find the Planet Soap gazebo on North Meadows Walk, and see you there all day Saturday and Sunday.
(Crieff shop open this week til Friday but closed Saturday).

At Planet Soap I had a little Beltane celebration planting up the window boxes, in the newly cleaned up iron baskets, with pretty summer flowers.
I chose the plants in the warm sunshine at Bennybeg Garden Centre. And of course the weather broke and temperatures dropped when I put them in, lol - so you can blame me - sorry about that! 😉

Easter already? Hard to imagine, as I scrape the windscreen…
The Crieff shop opening times will be as usual. Ie opening Thursday, Good Friday and Saturday, 10 til 5. Closed Sunday, Monday Tuesday, and open again on Weds afternoon.
Have a lovely time and don’t eat too much chocolate lol. Or do. Why not? Either way, enjoy a little break. 🐣 🐤 🐥

Hi there Soapy Folks
While I am usually in the shop Thursday, Friday and Saturday, this week I am catching a bit of sun, wind, rain, hail, snow, you name it, on a few days annual leave. So I won’t be open on tomorrow or Friday, but I WILL be open as usual on Saturday (28th March) 10 til 5.
Web orders can be taken as normal, but may just take a few days longer, so thank you for patience. 🙂

The latest furry staff member in the Planet Soap shop is very enthusiastic about the Meets and Greets.
This lovely dog groomer from Woofs A Daisy thought she was on a day off, but couldn’t resist a cuddle with Tippy!

It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday (15th) and I just made fresh bath bombs today, with Shea butter, witch hazel, and the deliciously fragrant Lemongrass and Lime, Lavender and Lemon, and Rosy Patchouli essential oil blends.
And I fired some new pots and candlestick holders on Monday, in a range of seasidy blues and greens, and sand and copper colours. These include my first ever carved upright candlesticks, that I saw made recently on the Great Pottery Throwdown.
The multicoloured pot was an experimental glazing technique - essentially wiping my glaze brushes on the pot before rinsing them. I thought the colours might come out muddy, but they are actually rather beautiful, so I’m happy with that 🙂 I’m open Thursday til Saturday, 10 til 5.

As you might know, Planet Soap, 31 East High St, Crieff, sells a wide range of amazing cold process soaps, deliciously scented with essential oils, and /or with nettle, Shea butter, and other helpful natural ingredients.
You might also know that we have a goodly range of gorgeous creams, bath bombs and scented candles.
You might not know that we have a lovely variety of handmade pottery, made by the soap maker (that’s me). A lock-down distraction that became an obsession, and is now an established part of the business. Another great idea for a unique gift or a special treat. ❤️

Then 30th and 31st December again 12 til 4.
