Last night was a real game-face situation - every table was packed with Blood on the Clocktower, Bolt Action, Kill Team, and board games. Tonight, we're trading in our battle axes for Pikachu and pawns - it's Pokémon Battle League and Chess Club time! Hope to see you there for another epic night of fun and games

Magic: The Gathering fans, today is the WPN store release of The Hobbit set. Bundles and play boosters are available in-store, with a limit of one bundle and three play boosters per customer. Please note that the seal will be removed from all bundles at the time of purchase.

An Important Update from The Lizards Lair

We’re sorry to announce that, with immediate effect, our upstairs gaming space will be permanently closing.

As The Lizards Lair continues to grow—particularly through our online operations and the other businesses now running from the Lair—we need to make better use of the space available to us.

The good news is that we have been busy making changes downstairs to create additional gaming and event space. Our tables will continue to be completely free to use, because providing an accessible place for people to play, meet and be part of the community remains at the heart of what we do.

However, with slightly less overall capacity, some of our busier events—particularly Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon evenings—will begin using a free ticketing system.

Tickets will remain free of charge, and we will always reserve a limited number of spaces for walk-ins. This is simply the fairest way to make sure everyone knows whether a seat is available before travelling to us.

Following the successful ticketing trials for Dungeons & Dragons and Blood on the Clocktower, we believe this is the best way to manage our growing community without introducing table fees or paid entry.

The Lair isn’t getting smaller—it’s evolving, expanding online and making the most of every inch downstairs. Apparently, even lizards eventually run out of room to hoard terrain, card tables and plastic heroes.
