AN UPDATE FOR OUR STALLHOLDERS & SHOPPERS

In recent weeks, we have received a number of messages and phone calls regarding when our Baby & Children’s Markets and Indoor Car Boot Sales will be up and running again, but at the moment we don’t have any dates planned in the diary. We work with the Fitness Team at Cheshire College - South & West to organise our events and they aren’t due to return until around September. When they are back, they will be better placed to review the Covid risk assessments in place for them as a venue, which will give us an indication of how we might be able to run our events in the future. At present, mass indoor gatherings are not permitted in the government guidelines, so it may be a little while yet before we’re in a position to get going again! We miss all of our loyal shoppers and stallholders, but we need to better understand how we could run our events safely, given how busy they usually get! As soon as we’ve established whether we can put the required measures in place, in line with the views of the College team, then we will update our events page with any planned dates.

For anyone in the Crewe, Nantwich area and surrounding towns, Monkey Business who usually supply our bouncy castles are still providing some of their services during lockdown, with social distancing measures in place. A great idea to consider if boredom is kicking in for the kids, or to help celebrate a special occasion!

Given the ongoing lockdown, our Indoor Car Boot Sale on April 19th and Baby & Children’s Market on May 3rd won’t be going ahead, so over the course of the coming week we’ll be contacting everyone that has paid for a stall at these events to organise a refund.

Thanks again for your ongoing support during such a difficult time for everyone, we can’t wait to see you all again soon!

We nearly forgot, but today is our 3rd birthday! We really wish we were celebrating in better circumstances and are hopeful we’ll be back to seeing our lovely stallholders and shoppers at some point in the near future! ❌ IMPORTANT - EVENT CANCELLED - PLEASE READ ❌

After much deliberation over the course of last night and today, we have taken the decision to cancel the Indoor Car Boot Sale at Cheshire College - South & West in Crewe this Sunday the 15th of March. As you’ll all be aware, the spread of COVID-19 is an evolving situation that is moving quickly, which had left us unsure of the best course of action when we reviewed things earlier this week. We’re so sorry to disappoint our shoppers and stallholders, but with all things considered cancelling feels like the right thing to do given the circumstances. Although large public gatherings haven’t yet been banned by our Government, social distancing is one of the measures that can be taken to help slow the spread of the virus and we don’t want to contribute to a worsening situation by holding an event in an enclosed space, with shoppers and stallholders mingling together. The infection can be spread to people who are nearby (within 2 metres) and the nature of the venue means we can’t mitigate against people being in close proximity to each other. As many of you will know, our events usually get very busy, however we believe the current uncertainty may cause people to stay away, therefore having an impact on the success of the event for stallholders. In addition, lots of cash changes hands at our events and it’s impossible for shoppers/stallholders to maintain the recommended hand hygiene in those circumstances. All of the factors above have led us to decide that cancelling is the most favourable course of action on this occasion. If you have already booked and paid for a stall on March 15th, you will be contacted by us directly and asked to take one of the following options;

1. Receive a full refund now
2. Rollover the payment to the Indoor Car Boot Sale on April 19th

Please note that, to keep things simple, stallholders will be asked to take up one of the above options and inform us of the decision by Friday the 20th of March. Any refunds will be processed within 3-5 working days of us receiving the required details to return the payment to the stallholder. If a stallholder chooses to rollover to April 19th, and then later decides they cannot attend for any reason, a refund will NOT be given.

Thanks for your support and understanding at this time, your patience is appreciated whilst we contact our stallholders and make the necessary arrangements for refunds. 🧡IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ🧡
Given the current press coverage regarding Coronavirus, we’ve received one or two queries to ask whether the Indoor Car Boot Sale at Cheshire College - South & West will go ahead this Sunday. As it stands, we plan to continue with the event, however we are watching the official advice closely and if the government brings in further recommendations regarding the stoppage of public gatherings then we will follow them. We are about 80% full with stallholders at the moment and are still taking bookings. In the event of cancellation, all stallholders will be given the option of having their stall fee fully refunded, or to move to the next date on April 19th. Please keep an eye on the Mini Peeps Markets page for any further updates 👍🏻

Our next Indoor Car Boot Sale takes place on Sunday the 15th of March in the Sports Arena at Cheshire College - South & West in Crewe from 10:30am to 12:30pm (Dane Bank Avenue, CW2 8AB). Thanks to everyone that has booked their stall so far, please remember that your space is only confirmed once payment has been received!

There will be so many great items on offer for shoppers, so make sure you join us! Entry for adults is 50p, children go free, refreshments are available for purchase on the day.

🧡 An absolutely AMAZING turnout today! Fully booked with stalls and 482 shoppers who turned out despite the terrible weather outside! Great to see so many familiar faces in amongst our stallholders, we’re taking bookings now for our next INDOOR CAR BOOT on March 15th (visit the event section of our page for details).

Tomorrow is going to be another big one! If you’re joining us as a shopper then you are in for a treat! More than 60 stalls filled with bargains, come inside for a browse, refreshments available for purchase. Doors open to shoppers at 10:30am prompt, we close at 12:30pm. Entry for adults is 50p, please bring plenty of change!!
