Hello!
Finally got my pricing system sorted, so here goes.....
Ready To Go items:- These will be placed in each album with details of patterns and materials used and individually priced, according to yarn used/time to make item/s. These will be made with yarn of my choosing and patterns I already own. Prices are non-negotiable and include gift wrap.
Kit Knits:- Every month, I get a kit to make a child's and baby's knitted item (rotates from boy child/girl baby and girl child/boy baby bi-monthly). I will make the largest size possible with the materials provided. I also get a crochet kit each month, with the aim to do the same - make the best option from the materials provided. These will be £25 each, including gift wrap. Prices are non-negotiable and include gift wrap.
Winter Warmers:- Basically, Granny stitch square or rectangular blankets, using cake, self-patterning or plain doubleknit acrylic yarn. Smallest size uses 150g of Lion Brand Mandala yarn (measurements to come) which make the perfect size for a cot or pram. Larger sizes are available, either through my choice, or custom order. Costs will obviously be dependent on materials/time, i.e. Mandala yarn is around £7 and takes about 10 hours to make, so would be £22, including gift wrap.
I am happy to do custom orders for baby/child clothing and accessories, or adult accessories. I might be persuaded to do the occasional adult garment. If you'd like something specific, there are 2 options.
1. You purchase the yarn/pattern you would like and just pay me for the time it takes to make however many items you require from that yarn. Charges are £1.50 per hour/part hour. Included, if requested, are video updates of me making your item/s and photos of the finished item/s. Once payment has cleared, the item/s will then be available for collection or postage.
2. You let me know what yarn you'd like - can be plain, self patterning, or a specific yarn - and tell me a specific pattern or design you'd like. The cost of the materials is a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit, which must clear before I order them, including any pattern I don't already have. Once the materials have arrived, I will begin your item/s and, as above, send you pictures of the finished item/s. The second payment, for the work hours, is again charged at £1.50 per hour/part hour, and must clear before your item can be collected or posted.
Depending on size of item/s, the cost for yarn will be the minimum required for that size. Any yarn left over, depending on amount, can be used to make an extra item (see example) for the make up fee.
Example:- 16" chest baby sweater. Minimum yarn required is 100g plain and 100g self-patterning, costing £8 for the two together. 10 hours to make at £1.50 per hour/part hour make it £23. If there's enough yarn left over to make matching bootees, that would be an extra £5, making the complete set £28. Prices include gift wrap.
CAVEAT EMPTOR!
Any patterns bought and any unused yarn will become my property. Also, if you choose not to pay for the completed item/s, they will become my property for me to sell as part of my Ready To Go range. This is to protect both myself and my customers - as is sending by recorded postage, so there are receipts and signatures at both ends - as I'm hoping that if you're invested enough to pay for materials to make the item/s, you're also invested enough to pay for my time spent making them. 😊
Any items made using cake yarns or self-patterning yarn are unique. All items will be gift wrapped in tissue paper, with a complementary gift card for a personal message. There is also the option of a small lavender sachet to be included, for an extra £1 per bag.
The finished items can either be collected for free during one of my village café sessions, or directly posted anywhere in the UK, except Northern Ireland. Postage will be 1st class recorded, requiring a signature as proof of postage. I will weigh everything before I give the final charge. If you order several items, you'll only be charged once for postage, unless the items are going to many people. Once payment is completed, I will post the item/s and send proof of postage and an estimated delivery date.
