Back in 2024, Cottage Renovation Cwmrhys shared this impressive garden transformation, turning an unused outdoor space into a practical area for relaxing and entertaining. Using a combination of our treated softwood products, she built a large covered seating area complete with fencing and raised planting for her vast garden.

The planting has now established itself around the structure, giving the garden a much more natural feel. What was once a brand new build now looks completely at home in its surroundings, with the timber blending naturally into the rest of the garden having naturally weathered in the sun to a silver grey colour that the wood adapts over time as it dries.

The project was built using our C16 Treated Softwood Carcassing Timber, Green Treated Softwood Posts and Treated Softwood Picket Pales, creating a strong, long-lasting structure that has stood up brilliantly over the last two years and will in the years to come with proper maintenance.

Built to create a lasting tribute, this memorial project was made using our British Larch Planed Timber, chosen for its natural appearance and durability.

The timber has been finished with Douglas Fir Oil Protection, helping to enhance the natural grain while providing protection from the elements. The warm finish complements the surrounding landscape and brings out the character of the larch without taking away from the simplicity of the design.

British larch is a popular choice for outdoor projects thanks to its strength and attractive grain, making it well suited to features that are intended to last. Combined with a quality protective oil, it offers a finish that looks great from day one while helping to preserve the timber for years to come.

Chris Mccarthy from The Conveyor Shop has used our sturdy Oak Gravel Boards to create this meeting room tabletop, showcasing both durability and natural character of the hardwood.

While typically used for fencing and landscaping purposes, these Oak Gravel Boards are a great choice for joinery projects thanks to their dense nature, stunning grain pattern and versatility. Dominique has created this stunning garden transformation using our C16 Treated Softwood Carcassing Timber, Green Treated Softwood Posts and Treated Softwood Picket Pales. The combination of these products has resulted in this sturdy and contemporary pergola-like structure to create a space worthy of relaxation and entertaining, no matter the weather or occasion.

C16 graded timber is structurally graded for ultimate durability and stability in a project, especially when it comes to roof joists and timber framing. The addition of the Green Treated Softwood brings the project together, the Tanalith E used to treat the material chemical-free, making it safe to use around pets and children alike. The green hue of the treatment will eventually weather into a natural grey/silver colour over time. Picket pales are the perfect way to create a boundary around your property at an affordable price.

A fantastic use of British Larch Sleepers and our beams to create this stunning bespoke pergola, making for a functional and modern looking outdoor space. The garden design focused on enhancing the functionality of the space, as well as highlighting its natural charm with untreated Larch. The natural durability of Larch makes it the ideal timber choice for long-lasting landscape features. The raised beds have been created to retain the garden borders and steps, leaving clear lines throughout the design and creating a sleek and modern aesthetic.

The Larch pergola creates a partially shaded area in the otherwise exposed area, perfect for outdoor dining or seating area amongst the greenery. The sturdy yet simple design blends perfectly amongst the elements, elevating the project with vertical aspects. Over time, the British Larch will weather to a silver grey colour, adding more character to the structure, though this process can be slowed down with some UV Oil to preserve its natural hue for longer.

These stunning hand crafted Prestige Solid European Oak Curved Heel Ranch Gates create a classic and visually breathtaking entry way to any property, adding to the charm of its surroundings with its characterful features.

Our customer has installed these gates, which are crafted by our skilled joiners at our Midlands carpentry workshop, to create these high quality and sleek gates that will last for decades to come. The rounded profile of the heel at the top is reminiscent of that seen on ranch properties, giving it a more rustic and classic look, tying in perfectly with the cottage-like property behind it. European Oak is not only aesthetically pleasing to the eye, its light golden shade and variation of grain and knotting make for the perfect species to create driveway gates like these. The natural durability of the material means a long life span even with minimal upkeep, and the addition of UV Oil can slow down the weathering process that will eventually turn the material into a more silver grey as the sun bleaches it.

The addition of Oak Gate Posts adds to the cohesiveness in the project, the posts long lasting and heard wearing, sturdy and dense for longevity. Black iron work completes the project and gives it a more rustic look thanks to the darker shade standing out against the beige of the wood, and eventually the grey.

This lovely garden area is completed using Reclaimed Oak Sleepers to create the boundary of a paved stone area with garden furniture, surrounded by plants and shrubbery. Oak Gravel Boards have been used to create a fence like panel installation to create a sense of privacy and divide in the garden, offering it a contemporary look.

Oak Gravel Boards are great for such use, providing a sense of uniformity and their natural characteristics mean that no further treatment is required before use.

Reclaimed Oak Sleepers being used for a sleeper boundary is a popular choice thanks to their rustic yet long lasting features, making them perfect for landscaping use. With none or on edge missing and some small signs of deterioration, these sleepers are uniform and stack well, matching closely enough for a sleek finish. Great for where a natural aged Oak look is required, with the odd waney edge and aged creosote finish. These sleepers are available in different grades and lengths.
