One of the things I love about is that it's proud of it's heritage. Wherever I go I am never far from a plaque on the side of a building telling me of the event's that happened "here" in "enter a date from the past". One of my favourite plaque's that stopped me in my tracks once was a beautiful blue and white plated circle that stated "January 7th 1701, on this date, nothing happened here".
All joking aside, Scotland takes great pride in it's treasures and the stories told along with them.
