“Greywacke, the bedrock, is found across NZ but Marlborough’s vineyards, rivers and beaches are abundant with this hard grey sedimentary rock. Our first vineyard was in the Wairau Valley subregion of Marlborough; it was back achingly prolific with greywacke stones" explains Kimberley.⁠

“We recognised the uniqueness of the geological term and immediately decided it was the ideal name for our vineyard. Kevin and I subsequently registered the name in 1993 with the vision of having our own label one day, it really has been a perfect fit for us.”

Have you heard the news? Our very own BID Manager, Aneesa McGladdery is a contestant in the very first Pendleside Hospice does Strictly to celebrate their 35th Anniversary!

Here's what Aneesa had to say:

"I'm so excited to take part in Strictly! I've started my dance lessons and it's been a real test and I've loved learning a new skill. My dance partner Lewis is so patient with me, luckily I haven’t kicked him too many times!

The hospice helps so many people in the area and it's a real privilege to fundraise for them"
