Carol Archery

Carol Archery Founded in 1982, Carol supplies the traditional archer with kit, including the Carol Tri Jig. LOL!

Over the last thirty nine plus years I have specialised in English Longbow and all other traditional archery. I have been National Field Archery Society champion 19 times, or was it 20? I teach traditional archery to beginners and the more experienced. I supply most of the items needed to make your own wooden arrows, as well as making them for you if you 'grovel' hard enough. (I've been making arrows for so long that I'd much rather show you how to do it!)

So, didn't get to the 3ds as poor Mick just spent last week having radiotherapy at the Marsden.

Some more to go tomorrow (I know...Bank Hloiday Monday..sigh!) and then fingers crossed.

Hopefully I'll be at work Tuesday 26th from around 4 ish...but very much depends how he is feeling.

At the moment he is complaining about ''effing daytime television'' !!! ...no change there then, lol!

Anyone who has ordered arrows, they are all done and waiting to be posted on Tuesday....leather work I'll be starting this week...fingers crossed.

If you want to visit, please book with me and let me have a mobile number, just in case.

Just spent the day cutting out several quivers. Some ordered and some for stock which I'll take to the NFAS 3DS
Photos soon.

Mick now has 4 more trad xbows on order and several primitives...so I'm keeping his nose to the grindstone lol!

Lessons and arrow matching are still going strong, so if you need either please book early.
Contrary to rumour, I'm still here teaching and sorting arrows for you all and have no intentions of stopping any time soon....or at least until I'm 80 (and no I'm blooming well not there yet 🤔 even if Mick is 🤣😏)!

After his rapid exit from his mobility scooter, Mick is at last on the mend.
So he'll be back making his trad crossbows on Monday.

I've been busy making jigs and arrows and doing lots of arrow matching and lessons.
Hopefully I'll be at work more now Mick is OK-(ish!) So I'll be taking more bookings for the next few months.

So, got a few days with no-one booked in and Mick at home whinging about his elbow...and I'm going to have a big revamp of the workshop....well...maybe lol!

Poor old Mick is in the wars again.
Went to Petworth House with some friends on Sunday. Took Micks little scooter (it goes in the car, unlike the big'n). I forgot to pull the safety wheels out the back of it, so it tipped up and threw him off.
He now has a chipped elbow and a bad back.....
Photo is the big'n which doesn't tip up.

Really annoying, as the little on is perfect...IF I'd remembered to pull those wheels out.

EDIT:
Here are photos of the culprit...wheels in and wheels out (where I should have put them!)

04/01/2026

After a longish 'break'' (spent cooking several Christmas dinners....and eating them of course lol!) I should be back at work Tuesday 6th from 2pm.

Hope you all have a great 2026
