HELP SAVE WADDOW HALL FOR OUR GIRLGUIDES AND COMMUNITY….

….and, whilst doing so enjoy some of the finest cuisine in the Ribble Valley.

Del and I are keen to support the work of the newly-formed WADDOW HALL TRUST, which has been created “for the purpose of securing a future for this historic property in the heart of the Ribble Valley”*.

In conjunction with award winning local chef Tom, of TOM’S TABLE, we are organising a fundraising meal at his Bistro on –

Thursday 9th November 2023 from 7pm

The menu will comprise of 3 courses, specially designed by Tom for the night; which can be seen below.

The cost for the night is £50 per person.

We sincerely hope you share our passion for saving this precious asset and will want to join us at what should be a fabulous evening.
For those who have already dined at Toms Table you know you are assured of a top-class meal; for those who have not visited before……. you are in for a REAL TREAT!

The response to date has been excellent and we now only have 9 places left, SO PLEASE, do not delay reserving your seats. (The 9 places comprise of 3 tables for 2 persons and a setting of 3.)

R is for RIBBONS….… and for REMEMBRANCE!

Synonymous with Remembrance Sunday are Poppies and Union Flags and my ribbon range includes some brand-new designs of both for 2023.

Pop down to the stall and have a look at them; the poppy ones are especially delightful.

All my ribbons are available in metres or yards, and part lengths.

With 14 HABICRAFT DAYS UNTIL Sunday 12th November you still have time to create your personalised bunting, wreaths etc for this very special event.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR THIS YEARS REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY!!??

I have just 1 piece of each of these cotton print designs and will NOT be able to get any more.

Both will be on the stall tomorrow; but I am anticipating not for long.

TUESDAY TEMPTERS!!!!…..at least for Burnley FC fans.

The photos show 5 of the 8 items from Burnley’s 2021/22 sports apparel range, which will be on display, and on sale, on my stall tomorrow. They include:
- 5 off XL training shorts - £8.50 each.
- 1 off XL poly polo shirts - £10 each.
- 1 off Child XS padded jacket = £35.
- 2 off claret football socks, size 10-13 - £1.75 each.
- 2 off claret football socks, size 7-9 - £1.75 each.
- 3 off light blue football socks, size 10-13 - £1.75 each.
- 2 off white football socks, size 7-9 - £1.75 each.

My head of research, (hubby DEL), has scoured the internet and assures me my prices are lower than any he can find on the main sites selling Burnley sports attire.

I will not be able to replace any of this stock – once they are sold, that is it!

All proceeds from the sale of these will be donated to THE WADDOW HALL TRUST.

SAVE WADDOW – A GREAT FINISH TO THE FULL SALE!!

I think it is fair to claim the final week was a success with:
- £133 raised from the Sale.
- £ 3 from “loose change” donations.

That means the GRAND TOTAL over the last 5 weeks amounts to:
- £920 from the sale
- £106 from donations.

So, between the two we did hit Del’s target of over £1,000 – to quote Craig Revel Horwood – A…MA…ZING!!!

THE GOOD NEWS is we are going to continue supporting the WADDOW HALL TRUST through until at least Christmas, with:-
- A small range of Burnley FC’s 2021/22 sports attire; which will be displayed on the stall this coming Tuesday.
- A reduced SALE range; which will focus on items which will be popular coming into Christmas, or help keep people’s homes warmer during the winter months.

NASTY HALLOWEEN NETTING????

Not really; most of my patterned Halloween nets are actually quite cute, have real child appeal and the prices are far from NASTY!

They are all 155cm wide and just £2.95 per metre, (the same price as 2021!).

The range includes:
- Traditional Halloween Pumpkins.
- Delightful Ghosts. A metre length should instantly turn any “littlie” into the sweetest looking ghost.
- Twinkling Stars; always a firm favourite with budding witches and warlocks.

For the purist I also have plain black and red nets.
