Created using The Signature Four……Matcha, Flame Orange, Aqua and Magenta Pink…..this colourful floral scene celebrates everything we love about summer: vibrant colours, creativity, and those peaceful moments that make us stop and smile.

As artists, we get to work with the finished product, but behind every balloon is an incredible team of people who make it all possible us.

🎈 IT’S NOT THE BALLOON’S FAULT 🎈

“It deflated overnight.”

One of the most common assumptions when a balloon loses air is that it must have had a hole in it.

But what if the damage was done long before the leak appeared?

🧪 THE SCIENCE

Latex balloons are incredibly strong, but rough handling can create tiny microscopic tears that aren’t visible to the naked eye.

These micro tears can occur during inflation, stretching, tying or handling and may not show themselves until hours later.

The result?

A balloon that looks perfectly fine today but slowly loses air overnight.

⚠️ COMMON CAUSES

• Excessive friction while tying• Overstretching the neck• Long nails• Rings and jewellery• Sharp edges on tools• Rough transportation

The important thing to remember is that not every leak starts with a visible hole.

Sometimes the balloon isn’t the problem.

Sometimes it’s how the balloon was handled.

Community Over Competition 💛🎈

Last weekend I was lucky enough to be treated to a much-needed weekend away. What I hadn’t realised was that I was already booked for an event!

The stock was ready, the design was planned, and the balloons were inflated — but I still needed the wheels and the hands to get everything set up.

As always, Matthew from Team Create & Cherish stepped up to help, but I also want to give a huge shout-out to Becka from Baby Bear Balloons.

Without hesitation, despite having an event of her own to set up that evening, Becka collected Matthew, loaded up the kit and balloons, drove to the venue, and did a sterling job bringing the display to life.

This is exactly why I will always choose community over competition.

When we support each other in this industry, we create a network of people we can trust. Whether it’s covering a setup when life happens, helping during busy periods, or simply being there when someone needs a break, that support is invaluable.

Knowing there are people like Becka in this industry makes all the difference.

🎈 IT’S NOT THE BALLOON’S FAULT 🎈

“My balloon was perfect yesterday… why is it smaller today?”

One of the biggest misconceptions in the balloon world is that a balloon changing size means it’s faulty, underinflated or losing air.

In reality, it’s often just science doing its thing.

🧪 THE SCIENCE

Balloons react to changes in temperature and pressure.

❄️ When the air inside gets colder, the molecules slow down and move closer together, causing the balloon to contract.

☀️ When the air warms up, the molecules move faster and spread out, causing the balloon to expand.

The result?

🎈 Same balloon.
🌎 Different environment.

This is why balloons can appear to change size when moved:

• From indoors to outdoors
• Into direct sunlight
• Into an air-conditioned venue
• Into a conservatory
• In and out of a vehicle

💡 HOW TO MINIMISE IT

• Allow balloons time to acclimatise to their environment
• Consider the venue temperature before inflating
• Avoid sudden temperature changes where possible
• Remember that size changes don’t automatically mean a quality issue

The more you understand the environment, the better your balloons will perform.

Last minute doesn’t mean last priority. 🫶🎈

Little Albie had been let down for his 2nd birthday… but there was no way I was letting a little boy go without balloons on his special day. 💙

This number stack was pulled together at short notice and delivered with love, because when you book a professional balloon artist, you’re not just booking pretty balloons. You’re booking reliability, experience, problem solving and someone who genuinely cares that your setup arrives looking perfect and on time.

Three people were let down last week.Three people rescued by Create and Cherish Events. ✨

Longevity matters.Skill matters.But showing up for your customers matters most of all.

Neutral tones, luxe shimmer and a whole lot of balloons magic ✨🤍💫

This birthday setup at was all about keeping it elegant but still making a statement.
