No need to book, just turn up and we’ll show you our technique to get lovely long stems.

Vase: hand-thrown by (we have some gorgeous ones in stock in our farm shop, lots of other botanical goodies too 🎁)

Meet the Hut. 🌿 She started life on a farm three miles away in the 1980s: a battered old Nissen hut with good bones. We dismantled her, brought her to Little Tew, put her back together, and gave her a coat of paint. Now she’s the heart of Chippy Flower Farm.

The Hut is where you come to collect a pre-ordered bouquet, or buckets of DIY stems, browse hand-thrown ceramics by Corinna Pyman, botanical skincare from Fifield Road Apothecary, by:BW and C. Atherley, reed diffusers from Grange Aromas, cards, gifts, find vases to hire… and for Easter, potted bulbs and seasonal branches, too.

We’re open six days a week, and we’d love to see you.

Something a little different is coming to the farm 🌿 On Tuesday (8 April) we’re welcoming back woodland crafts expert Suzi Williams to Chippy Flower Farm, this time for a new two-hour workshop learning to make a bird feeder from willow. There are just a few places left.

You’ll spend two hours with your hands properly busy — weaving, bending, coaxing willow into something real. No screens. No scrolling. Just natural materials, a beautiful space and the quiet satisfaction of making something with your own hands.

The perfect school holidays activity, suitable for ages 8 to 100, whether you’re coming with a child, a friend, or just after a couple of hours to yourself doing something slow and satisfying.

No experience needed.

We had our last wreath-making workshop today. 🎄 As we no longer have any fresh flowers growing by this stage of the year (our flowers are grown outside ❄️ and in unheated polytunnels) and because we only sell flowers that we have grown ourselves, that means the Farm is now closing for the winter.

Work continues behind the scenes of course 📤, but we won’t be open again until we have enough spring flowers to start making you bouquets 💐 again. We’ll have a Spring Fair on March 21/22nd 🌸 to welcome you back to the Farm.

If anyone wants to look forward to a floral fix 💐 next year or if you want to give an EXPERIENCE rather than a thing for Christmas, we have gift vouchers on the website that can go towards bouquets, subscriptions, workshops, PYO sessions, anything really. Just email us if you have a particular request.

In the meantime, THANK YOU for all your support and visits this year. We have really loved meeting so many people and seeing our flowers go off to your homes, to your parties and weddings and friends.

Doors open 9.30am. Parking is in the field and there’s been a bit of rain recently 🙃, so wear boots 🥾that can cope with a bit of mud so you can get down the track to the Studio for the drop-in workshops ✂️.

More from Corinna Pyman‘s ceramic studio. Another long reel, apologies, but a lot of people seem interested in how she makes the vases, and so here explains the firing process and the various techniques she uses.

Corinna will be at Chippy Flower Farm’s Christmas Fair on November 28th and 29th. In addition to the vases she has thrown for us (see linked reel for a preview) - some of which she makes exclusively for Chippy Flower Farm 😁 - Corinna will be bringing a selection of mugs, jugs, bowls, plates, teapots and more.
