Don't forget , I will be at The Sun Cafe, Christian Malford this Friday, 19th June for their 2nd birthday celebrations.

I will be there along with some other amazing artisan stalls from 11am - 2pm.

I've been busy making a few new bits to take with me for this one. I've been inspired by the summer and my blooming garden to make some gorgeous floral makes.

There are cotton bookmarks, the cutest plushie flower keyrings 🌸

I've also got some donut keyrings 🍩🍩🍩

A very special commission for 2 identical bunny lovies for 2 little girls.

This colourway is just precious with a little pop of antique rose pink to finish.

Bunny lovies make the perfect new baby gift, christening gift or baby shower gift. They are fully customisable, so you can select any colours you like.

Bunny lovies are £35 each with a 3 week turnaround.

Today I taught my first workshop of the week to these 5 lovely ladies at The Sun Cafe, Christian Malford

Today we learnt one of my favourite techniques; the iconic Granny Square!!!

This Friday I am thrilled to be supporting The Sun Cafe, Christian Malford at their 2nd Anniversary Celebrations! I will be joining other artisan makers from 11am - 2pm selling Little Gem goodies and also talking to people about my classes.

UPCOMING SUMMER SHUT DOWN!

Those of you who have been here for a while will know that I close my business every year for the 6 week summer holiday 😊

What that means is that my September workshop planning all needs to be finalised by mid July! And all orders/commissions need to be in in plenty of time.

September is when I teach my pumpkin workshops 🧡

This year I will be teaching my classic crochet pumpkin workshop (see photo 1) and if there is enough demand I would also like to teach an advanced pumpkin workshop (see photo 3) for those of you who are more experienced. These workshops will take place mid September with weekday and weekend options.

I am just in the process of finalising dates but if these workshops sound good to you drop me a 🧡 in the comments so i know to drop you a message when the dates are confirmed.

There's lots to look forward to over the coming weeks at Little Gem!

Next week I am running not one but two Granny Square Masterclasses! This is my favourite workshop to teach and is my most popular workshop.

I am also teaching a Gaining Confidence Class. This is like a beginners Part 2 where we learn a few more stitches adding to my students stitch armoury.

I still have a few spaces available if you would like to join, just drop me a message.

And then at the end of the month on the 30th I am hosting my firat ever Crochet Catch Up! A chance to meet up with others from your class, and meet new likeminded ladies. This event is free but I do need to know numbers, so if you are planning on coming just let me know!

Doodle the Pencil ✏️✏️✏️

I made a few of these last year and they were really popular. So i've made a few more.

They would make a perfect end of year teacher gift. Or maybe an end of primary/secondary school keepsake for your child.

You can match them to your schools uniform colour or perhaps the colour of your childs school house team.

If you would like your own Doodle, they are £8 each. I will be taking orders until the end of June to give me time to make them up.

So, you have been to a Beginner Class and you aren't sure what to do next or how to progress?

Why not book on to my next Gaining Confidence Class? Its like a beginners class part 2, where we recap what we learnt in Beginners and introduce new stitches. Its a great way to really hone your technique and cement those skills in place.

By the time you have completed the Gaining Confidence Class you will be ready to join a Granny Square Workshop, which is my most popular and most requested workshop.

My next Gaining Confidence class is taking place in Chippenham on Thursday 18th June at 7pm.

Something exciting is happening!

On Tuesday 30th June I am holding my first ever Summer Crochet Catch Up.

This is for anyone who has attended one of my classes at any of my venues. Its an opportunity to catch up with others from your class and meet new like minded crocheters.

I wont be teaching on the day, but you can bring your current project with you and sit in the sun and crochet if you would like too! Or just bring along things you have made to proudly show.

Teaching others how to crochet was always about more than just teaching to me. It was about creating a community. And bringing all my classes together is an idea I've had for a little while now.

The Catch Up will take place at The Sun Cafe, Christian Malford from 10am -11.30am

If you can make it, please let me know so that i can let the venue know now many to expect.

This is a free event, but you will need to buy your own refreshments at the venue.

I'm very excited about this one and cant wait to see you all again 🌞🌞

I've been sent this fab photo today. These 2 ladies attended my Beginner Learn to Crochet class last week. Over the weekend they were volunteers at a local Scarecrow Trail and they bought their crochet along to practice in the sunshine 🌞

This really goes to show just how portable crochet is, you can literally take it anywhere with you!

It also highlights that crochet can quickly become addictive, and I absolutely love that these ladies couldnt wait to do more practice 🤣

My next Beginner Learn to Crochet class is this Thursday, 21st May at The Sun Cafe, Christian Malford 10am-12pm.
