A VERY SPECIAL AUCTION!!

A Fully loaded TempestX 100 DPM Aquatex.

Possibly the best system money can buy.

It’s in near mint condition with less than 10 nights of use. The only blemish I can find is a few popped stitches on the Velcro fastener of the skull cap and the usual scratches where the poles go into each other that can’t be seen once it’s erect.

This comes with everything you could want,
Infill panel
Mozzie infill panel
Skull cap
Overwrap
Groundsheet
Porch mat
Plus some pukka stainless pegs I forgot to take pics of.

Well over £1000 worth new.

Bids in the comments, highest at 8pm Sunday wins it. 😍😍😍

QUICK AUCTION!! Tag anyone who might be interested in a bargain.

Whychwood Epic Bivvy, in good used condition with overwrap, pegs, groundsheet and shimano tribal carryall.

I’d say it was 1.5 man, with one bed chair loads of room but with 2 it would be a squeeze.

Highest bidder in the comments by 8pm wins it, even if it’s 50p. 🔨

S.A.S Specimen hunts.

June target species:
Sea - Black Bream and Smoothound
Coarse - Tench and Perch

Each month we will have 2 targets from sea and coarse to aim at. There will be one prize for each sea and coarse, made up of the entry fees of £3.
You can enter a pic of each species if you wish.

The aim is to catch the best specimens you can but weight and length will not be required just a good quality photo with the token you are given upon entry. The winner will be decided by you guys by voting for the best specimen in your opinion.

I will open the entries to the month ahead just the weekend before so to try and keep each month as seperate as possible.

Nice and simple, if you have any questions feel free to pop in the comments.

Bank holiday Bass?? Go get them!!!

It’s been a slow start for me this year, for various reasons I’ve just not been out on the water. So this morning, at the crack of dawn we were out on our first real chance to put a few hours in.

First 2 hours were a disaster, Freezing cold, wind not being friendly, colour in the water, all the usual excuses but it wasn’t happening. I’d thrown every soft plastic and creature (big and small) that I had at them twice round. It wasn’t gonna happen.

At dead low we decided to go for a mooch and spotted a nice looking area that was accessible. Down we went, after another 30mins of soft plastic chucking, I broke and went back to my trusty surface lures, just to give me something to look at really.

We were in that frame of mind where, you know nothings going to happen it seems impossible after so long, with so many casts and absolutely no sign of fish.

With that like a mirage in the desert, behind my foam thrasher at only 15yards popped up a very short but purposeful bow wave as if the fish had come straight up from deep to meet the lure. I had a sort of double take not believing what I was seeing and with that a very subtle sip that sunk the lure from sight. I then stood in that uncomfortable no man’s land place that seems like slow motion, was i hooked up? do I lift? Do I wait? With that it made the decision for me, nodnod we’re in finally!!

Not a crazy fight but a stubborn one, it didn’t run more than a meter at a time but did not want to come a shore to meet me. I could see it was a decent fish, I thought maybe mid 50. A schoolie would’ve been fine to save the blank. I eventually slid her onto the mud and onto the measure. 63cm and chunky as hell.

The 2 hours were forgotten and the smiles still stuck on my face. To pluck it off the surface always adds to the joy for me. We also backed this up with a couple of 50’s to end the morning on a huge high 👌
