One of our volunteers found this very sick fox cub whilst out horse riding this afternoon. She contacted me straight away and kept the cub warm until I got there.
The little cub had a broken leg, had lost a lot of blood and was seriously dehydrated. I wrapped him up to keep him warm but his breathing was very weak, I immediately started to drive to the Wirral in the hope our amazing Vet friend could help him.
Unfortunately, I could see he was struggling to breath so I pulled over to the side of the road by the Vauxhall car factory but the fox cub sadly died in my arms.
It has really upset us as a rescue, so please bare with us if we're not responding to messages today. It is a hard day all round for us all as a rescue.
