This is so hard for me to write as I still can’t quite believe what has happened. Three weeks ago my world was turned upside down as my beautiful Mum suddenly died. There was no warning, no goodbyes, she wasn’t ill as far as we knew, she was fit, healthy and a young 74 year old. So as you can imagine we as a family are absolutely devastated.
The last three weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions, caring for my Dad, admin, meetings with solicitors and arranging a funeral.
Obviously I had to shut my shop. Making jewellery just hasn’t been on the top of my priority list.
But at some point I do need to start earning again and trying to rebuild my biz. My mum was so proud of what I’d achieved so I know she wouldn’t want to see it crumble.

We will be saying our final goodbyes on Thursday, then moving Maisie back to Cardiff in preparation for her 2nd year of uni.
Only then will I consider reopening my shop.

I’m sorry I’ve been a stranger here on instagram lately. I’ve only gone and taken on a little job. It really started out as helping out but it’s become a weekly thing, but it’s only part time and temporary until the end of July. I’ll be honest, I’ve really enjoyed the regular money coming in. As we all know most small businesses are having a hard time, mine included, so to have some consistent money coming in has been a blessing. But it has come at a price. Even though I’m still working here behind the scenes, taking orders as usual, working on a website , finalising some new products, I’m knackered and inevitably something has had to give and that’s been social media. But I’ll be back on it as much as I can and by August you’ll be sick of me when I’ll be back to posting everyday 😆

In the meantime please feel free to visit my ‘Etsy’ and ‘Not on the high street’ shops for a little payday treat 😉

Aaahhh it’s good to be back !

March and April have kind of blended into each other. I’ve been super busy with life stuff that my instagram presence has been patchy to say the least. Work has taken a back seat (bar your orders) as there have been so many other commitments. As we reach the end of the month I feel that my time is finally becoming mine again. Which means more making and getting stuck into all the fun stuff.
I’ve also got some exciting things planned for the rest of the year and one major thing that I’m working on but I’ll leave that for another day 🤗

I’m back and as well as getting your orders out I’ve also been working on some new things.
Today I’ve been playing around with a slightly new colour palette. I’ve thrown in a dark green, a softer yellow and a very muted vintage pink. I often get requests for more muted darker colours and as you know I’m all about pastels and bright colour. But I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could introduce something different but that still complimented the brighter / pastel tones .
I think I might have cracked it with this palette.

How was your Easter weekend?

I’ve had a lovely extended break, spending it with my hubby and daughter, hence my insta absence yet again. I’m trying to grab every moment I can before we take her back to wales at the weekend. But before that my bestie is getting married so there’s also lots of wedding shenanigans going on so my usual working week is a bit disrupted. Hopefully normality will resume next week.

In the meantime I’ve just popped these funky little numbers in my Etsy shop. Theres only 5 pairs at the moment so an exclusive little offering for you.

Aren’t they cute … I mean who can resist a little bit of colourful leopard print right !

Evening lovely people !

Well I’ve taken a weeks insta break without really realising it … ooops !
It’s been a bit hectic here now my daughter’s back from uni. As always our lives get turned upside down, the washing machine ( now fixed ) is now constantly in motion, the house is a tip, there’s a queue for the bathroom and my hubby is on taxi duty. The upside is that the house has been full of life again with friends coming and going. It’s been lovely 🤗.

Despite all the distractions I have been quietly working behind the scenes, getting your orders done.
I’ve also been on a huge making spree. I’ve applied to lots of markets and festivals this year and I had a sudden realisation and panic that if I was lucky enough to get a place at them all then I’d really better start getting some stock ready. So I’m going to be a mean lean jewellery making machine for the foreseeable. Let’s hope a get a place at least one of them 🤞🏻.
