Next Car Boot & Flea Market
To Be Advised
Due to The UK Lockdown2 Restrictions
IMPORTANT
When we Conceived the Idea of Resurrecting the Market & Car Boot at Chepstow Racecourse, we did not Envisage that H M Government could possibly be so ignorant as to the Impact that Constant Stop/Starts over Trading could have on Small Businesses.
Following our Start-Up in August, we have been devastated by Lockdowns in Wales and England [Border Travel Restrictions] which are making it impossible for us trade in confidence.
The Scare-Mongering of both the Welsh & English Administrations simply scares people away from visiting and shopping at Markets & Boots, despite that Open-Air Shopping is Demonstrably Safer than anything Indoors.
As a result, despite our having nearly 1,000 Followers on FB, they stayed away from visiting our Events due wholly to their fear they would be exposed to this nuisance virus.
Because the Shoppers stayed away, our Traders understandably slowly gave up because of the lack of Trade.
We simply cannot continue endlessly spending Start-Up costs [Infrastructure/Wages/Advertising], only to be shut down again and again.
The Government appears determined to continue with their complicated, unpredictable and indecisive strategy until at least Easter and accordingly, we have taken the decision [in consultation and collaboration with Chepstow Racecourse] that the Boots/Market will cease trading until the panic and risk over the COVID Pandemic has finally passed.
We will announce when we intend to resume Trading in the course of the first few months of 2021 and look forward to seeing you all again then when we can Open again.
It is stressed that the suspension of our Trading is entirely separate to Chepstow Racecourse business which continues with a full Race Meeting Schedule throughout 2020/2021
